Geez he just always looks heavy. You’d think a man with the amount of issues he’s had so deep in his career would be doing everything possible to get a bit of bulk off.

Criminal he’s played as little footy as he has.
Agree, I think it would be so beneficial for him to lose 5/10 kgs to take some strain off his body. Gov has lost 10 kgs over the preseason for example & looks fantastic, covering the ground much better.

What a start for Ross!, challenging to say the least but he does love a challenge. This season is already a write off I think but at least we'll get a good look at the young talent coming up.
Not the news I wanted to wake up to! Particularly disappointed about Coffield and to also read Hayes recovery slower than expected.
I like your glass half full approach @Russty_ me thinks we’ll see a lot of new faces over a month or two

He wasn't going to affect too much from the SANFL. He only got 15 minutes at the end of the practice match against the Eagles. He would have need either injuries to other players or a change of tack by the coach to get back into the team.
Correct. Yet several here were worried about Crouch’s impact on Laird despite the expectation that he would be rotting away in the SANFL all season. Those worried need not worry any more.

I'm used to the disappointment mate, haha, maybe throwing the new ones in at the deep end will have a good effect on them, if Owens, Bytel and Phillipou all give it a good crack, hopefully we won't lose every game early on.

Dayne Zorko, Darcy Gardiner and Callum Ah Chee are all confirmed outs for Brisbane's match against Port Adelaide

BRISBANE has ruled former skipper Dayne Zorko out of Saturday's opening round clash against Port Adelaide as he continues to battle a hamstring injury.

Zorko suffered the setback last month and has been slow to progress, but did complete a strong session on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, reliable defender Darcy Gardiner has still not overcome an ankle injury and will also miss the clash with the Power.

Gardiner had off-season shoulder surgery, but on return from that picked up the ankle problem that has seen him sidelined for weeks already.

He did some light running to the side of Brisbane's session on Tuesday, as did Callum Ah Chee (quad) who is also still a week or two from returning.

Helps Wilmot & McKenna's chances - confident both will be named myself.
