Like it, only three different players from my own: Gulden, Davey and Sturt for Fyfe, Flanders and Sheezel.
Probably yours is better, but I will wait to see what rookies will be available.
I am also not quite sold on Neale, I might try to squeeze Oliver in.
Correct me if I'm wrong, without Zorko in round 1, Neale's a pick up now more than later on before he's priced out. Or are you guys expecting a slight decrease on Neale's averages this season?

Thanks mate.

I have reservations on everyone under Gulden's price point tbh. Thought Ziebell as I can switch him back at Rd6 and help provide some extra cover with that weak backline. Don't love Bruhn as a pick, feels like I'm just following the masses there. Unsure on Flanders. Don't mind Long as a pick but pretty risky, I suppose it's easy enough to correct.
Danger and De Goey are good slingshot options for me. I think Danger will start well, hoping to make a quick 100k and then get him to the best of the uber premo's early. De Goey could end up an M8/M9 option or a slingshot as well.

I keep thinking that F5/F6 is going to be huge this year, and I reckon it's a vulnerable point where if he you can get the points on field in those spots, I can get a good start in the rankings over someone fielding Sheezel/Mclean/on field rookie and potential sub risks. In fact, I'm even toying with the idea of dropping Ridley down to say Long who I'm bullish on and then going Gulden at F5/Cunnington F6 maybe. I'm not worried about the DPP stuff, I can always switch one to the mids if I need to get a Gawn/Petracca in, but honestly I'm not as sure on them getting DPP as others. Goes against my usual way of thinking with balance, but I'm potentially going to be all in on the fwd line (Dunks, Cogs, Rozzee, Taranto, , strong ruck line and mids with Ashcroft at D8. If I drop Ridley down then I can strengthen some of the cheaper rookies to the more reliable JS Cole, Jones types
Based on that Cameron to Ziebell/Fyfe/Flanders. Allows Liam Jones for a 123k rookie, or if Fyfe, upgrades on Fyfe R3 (Ryan?) and F8 upgrades as well.

Out of curiosity does anyone have a Plan B if Yeo gets an injury in the first one or two rds? Certainly don't want him to both from my SC team and Eagles point of view. However so many people have him so what is the back up plan? Down to a rookie if one is available? other options in his price range?

Yep, have a plan B - Will Day

362K who has been training in the midfield for the hawks this preseason. Keen to see him over the first few rounds, very talented just had some injury issues so far in his career. If playing 50%+ midfield time he could potentially be a nice buy ;)

Correction trade like any failed midpricer really.

Downgrade to a rookie somewhere else and upgrade Yeo to a premium would be the most likely move at a guess.

Yes had thought about Will myself. Is in my MPM team. As you say has been injury prone. If you were running a Yeo D1 team not sure he is the answer to your prayers. Still risk and reward.

Only issue with that is if it did happen rd 2 or 3 then you are using two trades on that fix when you really want to be using them for rookie bubble corrections etc. Hopefully Yeo stays sound.

Well the rookie downgrade would be a rookie bubble correction technically and you would likely be moving Yeo to a boom premium anyway. You then have the option for a 3rd trade with a boost.

I do agree it is not ideal though.

- Still tossing up between Stewart and Dawson
- Really like Callaghan but can't find a way to bring him in without feeling unsure about it. Plus think Mackenzie and Phillips are fine to start on field
- Have toyed with Bruhn but not really convinced on him, think Sheezel at the discount is every chance to score as well.
- Have got cold feet on the $700k mids, backing in guys who I think are value. Looks odds having 2 WBD mids and 2 GWS mids but don't really see that as a concern.

You’re not buying into the De Goey hype as a pies fan?
Nah, good at his role at short bursts at the CB and around the ball but hasnt got the engine for full time MID. Need to be looking for 110+ for MID keepers and DeGoey isnt in the converstaion.

Hopper - Sheed - Setters are all better priced, even worpel if you want to roll the dice.

Looks very solid mate, no big issues at all.

My only slight concern that I have mentioned a few times is the potential sub risk re Chesser but obviously I am just assuming that with the way Simmo has spoken & his past injury history. No way of knowing for sure, certainly appealing having him on the mid bench with his DP along with Davey so gives real flexibility/coverage (y)

Thanks mate. Yeah definitely see those concerns with Chesser, hoping for a slow burn with him. If a better option presents itself will be worth considering.

First post of my team:
1678849338034.png

Seems like it's a prety standard structure to most.
Byes I will sort out via trades.

Talking points:
- N Daicos: At lot have jumped off given the talk about tagging, 2nd year fall etc. Tying Supercoach with my team to double the enjoyment of watching the games.
- No Laird /Oliver: Could be a mistake as I usually end up with 3-4 M8 type players but I see more value in the lower price $600K players.
- J Macrae: Hoping he gets a mid not wing role. I love durible players and he hardly misses any games.
- Brayshaw/Green/Mitchell: Hoping 1 will be a top 1-6 mid and not all M8 type players.
- Grundy: Seems to have fallen out of favour recently. Hoping for upside and duribility.
- Goulden: Common mistake of previous years for me is to be too slow on spiking players. Good draw for first 2 games so hoping this will create confidence and will flow on for the rest of his games.
- Fyfe: Seems to have fallen out of favour for Flanders, Bruhn, etc. types. Again good early draw and easy to downgrade due to higher starting price if I have backed the wrong horse.
- Allen: Others are going with King/Sheezel. Again higher price allows for correction.
- Mid Bench $: Not happy with higher starting priced guys on the bench but I can't see any others that I like.

Any glaring issues anyone can point out?

Thanks in advance.
