Doesn’t anyone rate Sam Sturt, scored 80 in the practice match, I personally think he could end up being the top cash generator in the forward line.
He performed really well! Has Walters and Frederick to come back in though and got the 80 from just 8 disposals which is probably unsustainable. Watchlist for me at the moment

He's got some talent for sure but wasn't even named in the squad in the Herald Sun article on predicted round 1 teams, (see Herald Sun articles thread )

What are you expecting from Sav? He's in the Henry role. Henry is a much better player and usually averages 60 there.
Expecting some spike games with his intercept work, and reliable cover until Henry returns (expecting him to be a long way off).

More than happy to slot him at R3 with Madden to swing for 174k.

Fair enough. I don't see much if any intercept work from him. I think that all goes to Stewart and Dk. The other concern is they play Kolo and there's not even a spot for him in the back 6.

How good are Samson Ryan’s chances of playing? Any tiges fans have some insight?

If he plays Round 1 I can’t see me not picking him.

Even if he gets dropped after 1 or 2 games he has a good looping fixture. I can loop some kind of combination of Bont/Laird/Dunks from rounds 2-8.

The other scenario is that he gets at least 3 games and can make some cash… assuming he doesn’t score in the negatives like last time :ROFLMAO:
Fingers crossed he does.

Soldo now listed as unavailable in the latest injury report, but the Nank & Soldo combo just hasn't worked since Soldo did his knee imo.

Hoping that Miller is given the KPD role ahead of Young while Tarrant is out, and Ryan is the 3rd tall/relief ruck.

Heading into the season I was hoping they would run with Nank and Miller as the combo, but Ryan got a gig ahead of Miller in the last praccy, so looks like he's the front runner.

Had him as a rookie a couple of years ago and was doing ok in his 3 games before his injury. (100 - 11 - 74)
If he's close to that form I'm inclined to take a punt if he's named.

Agree. Just not sure where I fit him in . Didn't think I'd have to be making a call between two playing rookies

I've currently got Phillipou, Greene & Davey on Sunday's bench. If any are out and Sturt is named I'd be happy to slot him in.

Good plan. Not keen on Davey but he'll be a handy donut if he's dropped with Essendon's fixture. The biggest issue is he's a monty to be the sub which kinda kills both reasons for picking him. Unfortunately the only $102.4k M/F this year is DMW and Brisbane's fixture pretty much kills him as a viable option.

So I assume Cowan will be sitting on a few benches with the (E) on him on Thursday

Edit: and if he does a McIntosh or Lower and tons up how are we gonna get it without dismantling structure?

Chesser? Cincotta? Gilbee?
Chesser playing so can't be him.
Cincotta will be locked out, so can't be him.

Gilbee makes sense as DEF/MID base price with late games in the early parts of the season.
Wilmot another if he (somehow) doesn't get named for Round 1.

It's a Friday onwards problem if Cowan goes 85+. Wouldn't bother for 75 or less.

If Cowan scores well I'll retain Yeo, who plays last in rounds 2 and 3. 80 my cut off. I can then loop Cowan and Chesser.

I've got no idea which rookies to pick atm, 1 preseason game each club is just not enough.

Anyone has a list of the must-have rookies?
