Interesting re draws.
I like them, a draw is a valid result, they're infrequent enough.
I can understand the argument for extra time in finals to ensure a result and stick to the schedule, but in the H&A they don't worry me.
Completely agree. Is it a modern mindset for instant gratification that means there must be a winner and a loser else the game has no value?
I might be in the minority, but to me a fighting draw against the odds is just as satisfying as a win.

Having been to a couple, I personally dislike them as a fan.

I've seen a match on TV where they didn't blow the siren until a team scored, think it was one of the junior league GF's about 10 years ago when they used to show them in the lead up to the GF. That didn't seem a good way to resolve it.

It will get brought up with every draw, but think you just need to accept it, as there's no good way to resolve it. Penalty shoot out with set shots from 40m out? :ROFLMAO:

I really don’t understand the reluctance to do away with a draw and play extra time so you get a result in a professional competition where winning is the objective. Tonight is a case in point where a thrilling game concluded with a very unsatisfactory ending for everybody.

Extra time would have been fantastic and when that change is finally made we will all wonder why it wasn’t made years ago. Easy choice for mine.
Nah 2 simple for the AFL.

Only time i would disagree with extended game time would be the Grand Final.

Would it be worthwhile to play extra time only for the first team to score a behind to be declared the "winner" rather than the first goal scored?
Yes, for me first to score wins.

Excluding Grand Finals i think you need to give them 5 minutes each way or a Full Replay.

Eh, I felt like LOB made the right decision to play on, even that late in the game. He managed to chew up a lot of time up the wing, gained field position, and a F50 mark would have meant much more time could be taken off the clock than if he'd just sat at half back. The villain of the play was McKay, all he had to do was keep his feet!
Yeap keep his feet and the perfect kick hits the chest.

OR

Not allow Lynch to take that pack mark at the death.

Athlough it was a great mark and a pure kick.

This was the 1st time I've watched I've Taranto live & he has his faults as we all know.
However his work rate is unbelievable,we've been blessed with Lambert & this guy is in that class. Was getting to all the contests late including the Lynch mark where he did just enough to keep Weitering away.
I was amused at some of the comments at half time. All doom and Gloom.
