Yeah the kid can play and he's a big reason we won last night. You could be right. The question for mine is: "How many clubs run forward tags and how many of those taggers are actually good at it?" Then the question is "How much will he score in those games and in other weeks?" 500k isn't much for a kid that looks like he has another 10PPG in him easily.
We know that Sydney did a number on him and the Saints have a guy. Was GWS the other? The rest of the comp have mere mortals in comparison. Even if they do sit someone on him, there's a good chance that he wins his position for the day anyway. Not only that but this isn't a Nathan Buckley coached team. We have half backs now that run and can kick (bless my heart). If Naicos is getting cooled, then the traffic can just go through about 3 other players - not a great result for us supercoaches, but oppo coaches will have to swing a magnet, potentially releasing Nick again. I mean ***... lost in amongst a lot of the heroics, John Noble got 29 touches at 82% last night. That's a lot for him but Fly has been training our squad to go through him andd at 70 games, he's starting to hit his peak zone. Maynard had his hands full trying to contain Cameron and still got 19 of his own. Quaynor isn't usually that quiet but sacrificed a lot of his own run and carry to mind Stengle.
Then again, Daicos might just go to the mids and pick up 40 touches and 3 goals like he did against Laird and co last year. I think that game either started or finished with him being tagged too.
Now I didn't start with Nick. I'm an old school Collingwood guy that's been scarred too often over the years to trust in good stories anymore and he is only a second year player. But fugg me he came back in good shape. I really, really don't want to put the mozz on him, especially in my 1,000th post (only took me 10 years), but at 500k he's started out looking like a real must-have.

Only in fantasy football could Eagles vs North be a blockbuster game that's far bigger than Pies vs Cats!
It's a guy who plays only one position well and is the junior member of the midfield group primarily.
That he ended up out on a wing in the 2nd half is the bigger concern for his scoring than the TOG, he was always going to be a bit limited in that area just by looking at their side.
Stewart injury was also a factor, they didn't really seem to have an answer for that, at times it was Smith, Atkins, Tuohy and a couple of others who swung back to try and cover. Also doesn't help that Parfitt is also a pretty pure inside midfielder who came on as the sub as he kind of messed up the rotations a bit for them.
