Phillippou vs Pedlar please guys?

Reasoning appreciated...
Pedlar, more seasoned than a 1st year player, coach has stated he has become a professional and can see him pinch hitting in the midfield in the future. He is ferocious at the ball and player, so will score from tackles. The Poo is reliant on kicking goals and hasn't got much of a tank to conduct 2 way running.

Forward rookies are junk right?
All hail the defender rookies right?

We all look like mugs.

Apparently so at the moment.

I did have Daniels & Henry in my early drafts , looked at Pedlar the last few days (got him in RDT)

Add Bonar , Buckley & Stocker to the defenders and they look alright.

We might have all got sucked into this Ashcroft fella in the mids 😉 , did suggest Brisbane had a good early draw to look at him at M9.

Knowing SC all the rookie scores will reverse themselves Round 2 and we will be none the wiser heading into Round 3.

Rnd 1 Rookie traps 101.
Role, time on ground and opportunities are still more important than supercoach score.
Don't trade so your round 2 team looks how you wish your round 1 team had looked.
Swapping a $100k profit rookie for a $150k profit rookie is not making you $150k.
Rookie Touk Miller and rookie Paddy Cripps say hello.

Well done to the 3% of coaches who went with Chandler. I wonder how many did so at the expense of Sheezel.
I selected him on the bench based on the info for his game against Tigers where I heard he kicked 1.3 and looked the most dangerous of the forwards (also had Sheezel in my side). I thought also the rookie forwards were thin and worse case scenario was trade him out after round 2 as a correction trade. Some you win and some you don't as I liked Pedlar but didn't get him, I had Laird as skipper plus had Stewart and Jones both go down with injuries.

Happy to wait until after Rd 2 on Chandler. Too much other sh!t to fix this week
The concern will be, despite playing very well, that he's still going to be right on the fringe of the Demons Best 22. And come Round 3 when having to make a call, assuming that Fristch and Viney are back (May's position not so much relevent here), they will be missing Kosi Pickett, so we won't get a proper look at what the makeup of the Best 22 looks like. Only for Pickett to return in Round 4, at the expense of?

Yep. I think it's fair to say McVee goes for Salem, Laurie goes for Fritsch (not quite like for like but still assume that will happen), Tomlinson for May, Viney for Pickett.

Then when Pickett comes back, 1 of Chandler/Spargo/ANB to go out.

If Chandler goes 75+ this week, I'll probably pull the trigger next week. Hoping he puts up a 40 and I'm disciplined and resist, will have one nice price rise at least though.

Spot on re: McVee, Laurie, Tommo and Pickett (susp).

I would be inclined to drop Harmes ahead of all three that you mentioned though when Pickett is back. Spargo and ANB won't be going anywhere. Chandler is right on the fringe though.

It's quite fanciful to think that the Dees won't pick up an injury between now and round 4 when all the currently injured or suspended best 22 players are back though so I'm quite hopeful that Chandler gets a good run at it. He was superb on Sat night.
