This is your reminder that the IPL has a sub rule this year... get your groaning out of the way now. The rule change simply means the team can set up based on the result of the toss to take best advantage. That being the case, combined with the fact there appears to be no restriction on when it needs to be activated, I think we can expect to see it used a lot more than it was in the BBL.

30 minutes. To be clear, this shouldn't affect when we as fans find out the teams, because the captains normally do that in their interview with the host regardless.

15:30 IST = 9PM AEST (every Sat/Sun + Thurs 4th May)
19:30 IST = 12:30AM AEST

So will see the toss/interviews before most games

Herbie, do you have an idea who might get the gloves at KKR? With Iyer out, it could be a batting top 4 keeper, and whoever it is will be cheap. Playing second, they could be looped off the bench easily too.

Jagadeesan looks like their only local WK , certainly hoping it is him as he is my side

Das (waiting NOC) & Gurbaz are the OS options.

They will probably definitely play DreRuss , Narine & Southee so 4th OS could be a OS keeper , Ferguson (possibly injured) , Shakib (awaiting NOC) or Wiese

Edit: Ferguson missing the 1st ODI with a hamstring injury

I have seen Jackson mentioned as a possible replacement for Pant , pretty sure he got released from KKR

Yeah I could have sworn I saw him for KKR looking at the cheap options but I just read that article too. Wouldn't mind Das getting up, opens for Bangladesh and I really like his game.

Still waiting for DC to replace Pant.

If they don't use Salt they will need to play a local WK.

Is Salt better than Marsh , Powell , Rossouw , Warner though.

Ireland Test is April 4-8 , don't blame the BCB if they don't release Das & Shakib until the end.

4th OS spot could be a lottery between Das , Gurbaz , Shakib & Wiese.

S Iyer out certainly weakens their batting , might open up options for Rinku.
