Hi Rowsus

Team as follows:

DEF:
S.Mitchell, Enright, Hanley, Simpson, McDonald, Langford (Langdon, Georgiou)

MID:
Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, Beams, Aish, Dunstan, Polec, Ellis (Michie, J.Hunt)

RUCK:
Sandilands, Leuey (Currie, King)

FWD:
Dusty, Danger, Pavlich, T.Mitchell, Higgins, Rohan (Impey, JKH)

I have $200,100 in the bank.

Currently thinking of Hunt/Michie? to Tyson this week.

Not too happy with Leuenberger's output and with West taking some of the hitouts, I don't think he's going to score as big.
Therefore, do you think I should trade him to Mumford?

Also, disappointing forward line, will need to get Zorko and Wingard in soon too.

Thoughts?

Hey Rowsus!

Quick one for you...

Who is going to increase in value more (before the byes)
Georgiou
or
Ambrose
?
Hey Buddy,
my guess is Georgiou. I think he is (just) on safer ground than Ambrose, and might get one or two more price rises than Ambrose.

Who would be best replacement for Michael Barlow? Already Have Ablett, Libba, Cotchin, Beams as prem mids and have 135k to spare as-well
Given you may want to avoid another round 8 Mid Prem, I'd go Watson.
Good luck. :)

Hi Rowscus
What do you see Zorko and Pavlich averaging for the rest of the season?
I am tossing up between these 3 trades.
Rohan/Mitchie ---> Tyson
Hurn ---> Burgoyne/Hanley (not too exited for any of them, already have Swallow/Mitchell/Mcveigh and have enough bench cover to wait 1 more week)
Pavlich ---> Zorko

Would appreciate your thoughts greatly.
Cheers

Funnily enough wondering the same. Reckon tonight Pav could get a 20 or a 200, same next week......unfortunately think it maybe closer to the 20 but shame to lose a trade on him. No Fyfe or Barlow and not playing as well as hoped for. Not long to decide!!

Thanks mate, Agreed!

Although it doesn't matter now that half my premiums have decided to have a few weeks off :)

Hi Row, now that team selections are out, it makes things a little easier doesn't it?

I've set my mind of bringing in Tyson so no issues there. Question is, should I do it in one trade using a straight swap involving Michie? Or should I wait for the Adelaide subs to be announced and use Matt Crouch to upgrade to Tyson? If I use Michie, I lose a slow burner who will make me cash. If I use Matt Crouch (assuming he is sub), I get to keep my slow burner and use him as a FD this round.

Now the second part of the equation is critical. Say if I were to use Matt Crouch and upgrade him to Tyson, I will need extra cash so that brings in a second trade. I am very worried that Enright will be a late out. In saying so, I also believe that Swallow will end up as a top 10 defender for this season. So should I avoid the risk of a late out and pull the trigger on Enright? Or should I take the risk on Enright and ship off the speculative Gunston to Zorko, who I believe will also be a top 10 forward this year?
I wouldn't let one vest put you off Crouch. He's a chance to play his way into good JS. Also, I'd hold Enright, even if he is a late out. Gunston as you said is speculative, if you have to move on one or the other, I'd move Gunston.
Good luck :)

Rowsus,

With McEvoy out, do we believe it'll just be for the one week? Also with no Dixon cover, so I'll have to cop a donut unless I trade out Thurlow for either Derickx or Currie.

Thoughts? Worth a trade (would mean I'd have to sacrifice getting either Swallow (for Hurn) or M. Thomas (for Michie))? Or cop the donut?

Given our track record of advice mate,... I have Gunston.
Good luck for your team, you have improved everyone else's.

Hey Rowsus,

I was thinking of trading Hurn to M. Thomas (via dpp). Thomas initially looked like a no-brainer, but I hate his rd 8 bye. After looking at alternatives, I am now not sure that Thomas is the best option.

If we take Cunningham as an alternative, if he scores at his current average of 67, then by his rd 10 bye he will have made $186k. Thomas would need to score at 95/game to match that by rd8. This is ignoring any JS/vest issues that may impact Cunningham. If Thomas scores at 100+/game then he could be easily upgraded by Rd6/7.

By getting Thomas, I would have to put two of Dunstan/Ellis/Polec/Michie on the bench (though Michie will probably become a prem defender next week by swinging Hunt back to the mids). This does seems like a waste of points when I could have have Cunningham on the bench (esp if the rookies keep up their current averages). I could use the extra $125k in the next few weeks for a premium upgrade in other lines.

I think I know which way I will jump, but would love to hear you're thoughts.

Thanks
Hey aps1,
It sounds like you have realistic expectations, so that's always a good start.
You're right, Thomas M's round 8 bye is annoying, and his scoring could drop at anytime. Against that, if he can make some quick cash, we can look to upgrade him before the byes. I wouldn't be concerned about having Michie and Dunstan on the bench. As you said, Michie will become a Prem Def soon, and you can loophole Dunstan through Hunt. If you can see a short term good use to the loose change difference between Cunningham and Thomas M, then go Cunningham. If you can't, go Thomas M, and hope you can turn him over before the byes to a genuine Premium.
Good luck :)

Hi maken7,
I'm not as convinced as everyone else, that Zorko is a must have. Wingard looks good, and better than Zorko to me.
Hunt's filling a purpose, and Michie isn't right now, so Michie ---> Tyson looks good.
I think you're right to be concerned about Leuey, and if you are confident Mummy can handle the workload, then this is the week to go Leuey ---> Mummy.
Good luck :)

i'd cop the donut in your rucks. if you trade in derickx/currie both with shaky js they r likely to score around 50, so is a trade worth 50 points? i don't think so.-teebutone

Thanks for the suggestion mate. That's the way I want to play it, but was just unsure whether or not anyone had heard if it was going to be more than 1-week, as it would then be at least 100 points missing (i.e.: 2 x 50).

Cheers.

It not stategically compulsory to use trades this week. If you have the main Cash Cows, and no structural problems, sitting tight and saving trades is good. Michie to Cunningham seems ok, but only ok. JKH to Taylor doesn't seem to hold a full trades worth of benefits. Jacobs out to Mummy/NicNat is largely dependant on what output you believe Jacobs will have, and if you believe Mummy/NicNat can get through more than 18 games from here. I'm not keen on either of those trades.
Good luck :)

If you've lost faith in Pav, and believe Zorko is the real deal, then jump this week. I can't say it is a trade I like, but you need to back your opinions.
Good luck :)

Hi Rowsus
I need to get Tyson in this week so I traded Michie to him
The second trade is either Wright to Zorko (seen last week where Wright did not attend many bounces at all and was nowhere to be found)
Or Higgins to Matt Thomas via Lewis Taylor DPP

So far ive gone with the first one but would like to see what u think
thanks
