Strategy 2023: Round 3 Trades

Looking at something like this ATM:

Greene > Chandler
Chesser > Long

a.(Flanders > Setterfeild)
b.(Flanders > Ziebell) - swing a Premo F/M into the mids for a while.

I want all of D Cameron, LDU, Setterfield and Chandler.

Chopping block is Jones, Callaghan, JHF and Ratugolea.

But need 2 weeks to complete, and I'll also be $30k short after expected price movements...

So from left field am thinking will go Docherty to Cox (net expected value difference in 1 week = 91.2k), along with Jones and Ratugolea to Setterfield (via Chesser) and Chandler. Leaves me with $565k for next week to bring in D Cameron and LDU (from JHF and Callaghan), and 104k to go from Cox back to a premium (whether Doc if he recovers as expected, or someone else) the following week.

Sounds crazy. That's what 36 trades will do.

I rate this - I think this sort of thinking is what is going to make/ break people's years. We can be a bit more aggressive and this is a 2 week trade to go from 1 underperforming premo (Doch) and 4 just ok low-mid pricers to hopefully 3 premos, a bolter midpricer and a better rookie cash cow. I'll be looking at similar. Just hope the injury turmoil allows it to happen.

Just can't find a way to do it, frustratingly will have to get Cole instead of Chandler.

Nope sure if loops can allow it, but can you leave Bowes another week and get Chandler this week? Will give you another week to see if Bowes was worth it and have provided you another out to get him in

Depending on your set-up, Cole isn't a bad consolation. They are all speculative picks from different perspectives.

Is frustrating when you can't fit them all in. I've got a similar situation.

Maybe with Bowes, you can plan over two weeks as he's only played one - work around getting him next week.

Not sure on your cash situation, but how about

Chesser to Chandler (Uwland to DEF and Davey to MID)
Cumming to Daicos

Depending on how much you want Setterfield, you could go JHF to Setters via Phillipou

I would give Bowes another week and assess if he's a must-have. I think a DEF of Doc, Daicos, and Redman with rookies is very strong

Cumming, Chesser, and Uwland to Bowes, Constable/Cole, and Setterfield something else you may prefer

Have a feeling that this week's trades will be influenced by teams i.e. there will be some suprises. I have alll the rookies except for Chandler but not sure I need him. Second option below gets him in though. The 2 options I am looking at:

Chesser>Setterfield
Bruhn>Ziebell
Darcy>English

or

Chesser>Chandler (Davey or Phillipou to mids)
Bruhn>Ziebell
Callaghan>Setterfield

Likely jumping the gun on Darcy but I don't like the inclusion of Jackson. HIs history against Eagles has been excellent but that's with a Jacksonless Freo.
