So you are trading him
Honestly don't know. If I trade him I assume it will be to English. I decided not to trade Young to Daicos. Young is a gun. Played really well in the first quarter. He got smashed being super courageous filling the space on a lead. I think he scored one point for the quarter. Freo were horrible.

I'm pretty settled on steele and chesser to ziebell (had a great role and played well) and setterfield (wanted to start him but didn't fit my team).

Ok Think i have decided on this weeks trades. I've decided to focus more on leagues this season. I figure if I can end up doing well in leagues that my overall ranking will eventually end up about as well as it would have anyway, if this makes sense.

Gawn > English It was either English or Witts, I know English can miss games when least expected, but Witts looks like he is one awkward landing away from a serious injury.

Neale > LDU Not normally a fan of doing a trade like this, but I usually trade a few premos in and out over the byes to maximise points and get me the ones i want in the run to the line. I'm sure Neale will be affordable to get back in at some stage, and gives me a longer look at him with Dunks in the team. LDU is looking like a must have at a value price. Also Nth have a relatively good run of games coming up and don't want to miss out on all those points. Also nets a fair chunk of cash, which after all is what we want going forward.

Boost trade ????????

First thought was Doch> Naicos, but after thinking about it, I think Doch was just unlucky last week, first half was good, not injured, just didn't get as much of it as normal and will bounce back against GWS. Naicos a value pick and looking like a must have, but, will see how he goe's this week and if he performs again, then hopefully an early upgrade in the next few weeks, provided his price dosen't get too out of control. So decided against doing this trade.

A.Jones> Chandler Looks like a no brainer, Jones still a week or two away, although I think he will get games sooner rather than later and will make some cash. Not a great donut at the moment.
Chesser> Chandler using a few loops to get this done. Chesser dosen't look like making a heap of cash. Secretly hoping he gets dropped this week to make this trade choice a bit easier. Would then keep Chesser as a more useful donut, with the possibility they bring him back at some stage later on.

Non trades:
Like the look of Ziebell, but always the worry with Hall to come back, will give it a few more weeks of data to see whats what. Could be a value choice that turns keeper, but he does have a bit of a temper at times and can see him cop a suspension or two at the worst possible time.
Setterfield, looks really good, will give it a few more weeks. But not a keeper so probably a no from me. Happy to be wrong.

Chandler the only rookie cash cow that I don't have, will be coming in this week probably. Although one bad game from being dropped, what we have to remember is that selectors don't choose teams based on supercoach points. Is it worth bringing him in for possibly one game, in order to grab the cash???????

Didn't play VFL last week, so not sure that he will. Where did you here this?
The Western Bulldogs will field their first debutant of 2023 this Thursday night against Brisbane, handing speedy forward Arthur Jones his maiden senior opportunity.

The Indigenous youngster has spent the last year and a half biding his time in the VFL program, and had impressed with his preseason work this summer before being sidelined with a groin injury.

Development coach Travis Varcoe broke the news to Jones in front of the entire playing group during Tuesday morning’s team meeting.

“It’s a really exciting moment for me and my family, but also for the Club,” Jones said.

I'm actually thinking of going with l jones to w. Day as a luxury trade. Im a massive fan of day and its his breakout contract year. Theres so much midfield time at Hawthorn.

Thanks Shannon, makes it an easy Chesser> Chandler trade. Will try to post a team shot soon.

1. Greene > Chandler
2. Flanders > Setterfield

60k.

(3. Darcy > Witts/Cameron/Nank) Not really one to panic on Darcy at the moment... until I see how much cash he's about to lose!!

Still leaves me with Chesser.

Been wanting to know about JS for Greene as that will sway my choice of dumping him for Chandler.

I guess that you don't have the DPP's to trade Chesser > Chandler?

Just looking at that, amongst other things. I think I need the link.

Yeah, can do it. Definitely better option, despite losing the D/M link. Still a couple of days to look at it.
Also frees up a lot of cash if I decide to get rid of Darcy.

Greene to Chandler doesn't seem like the best use of a trade to me, unless you think Chandler will reach 350K+ and Greene will struggle to make 200K.
Yeah, Greene looks like a slow burn. Just pushing things around at the moment. Thanks for the feedback.

At this stage is would be Chesser > Chandler; Flanders > Setters; and a 3rd. possibly Darcy. My backline is thin, but there are a lot of "decent" rookies there.

Rozee to Naicos?!
I just can’t see a way to bring him in? Whilst I could move on Ridley or Young, these don’t seem like smart options. Trading Doc seems stupid. I want to trust my original pics such as D Moore. So perhaps I let him slide and grab him later!

Can't believe players trading out Docherty and Neale based on 2 weeks data. Not injured as far as I know, still in their prime, can play a bit. Season goes longer than 3 weeks. 2c
I've never understood this thinking.

Does this mean everyone not "lucky" enough to have an injury like Steele or failed midpricers like Bruhn & Flanders just has to sit on their hands and miss out on a 503K Nick Daicos averaging 139 coming up against the No-Tag-Tigers?

Most people getting rid of Docherty & Neale understand they are still top premiums, but are likely to lose 30-50K of value this week. With no other issues in their teams, there is an opportunity to jump on a value premium like Daicos and use the 100-180K change to fix another area of their team.

If Docherty & Neale are available to pick up cheaper down the track, then that is just a bonus.
