For those considering Setterfield this week, is anyone concerned that the teams he has played against are only Hawthorn & Gold Coast?
My alternative option is Worpel and he's played Essendon (improved) and Sydney (good team), and playing Nth this week.
Is Worpel just as valid a choice at a lower cost (ignoring Setters higher projected price increase)?

Fair. I’m personally jumping the other way. Have no doubt Darcy will bounce back against a NN-less WCE, but going forward the ruck split with Jackson is a real worry. Neale on the other hand, has been on 60+ at HT in both games so far, then had two horrid third terms by his standards, and then had reasonable final terms. Both could’ve comfortably been 120+ scores if he had usual third terms, and he was at 108 late in the last term against the Demons, which scaled back after a rough FKA. And more importantly, the role doesn’t appear to have changed even with the addition of Dunkley.
Darcy has averaged 118 from 68% CBAs in 2021. I think its less so the CBA split, and moreso, what you have already identified, his own individual form, and the collective form of his team. It's anyone's guess whether Sean and Freo can turn around their form, having said that, this week is no better opportunity against their home town rivals.

Centre bounce attendances should not be used for rucks given a more reliable and useful indicator is ruck contests attended which takes into consideration all stoppages around the ground and readily available on the AFL website. Are Hitouts to advantage in the centre square worth more than any other Hitouts to advantage around the ground and what proportion of HTA are from centre bounces?

I'm torn. For Darcy do I?

Grab English, who I'm confident is the clear best in game?

Or grab DCam for 115k cheaper. Cash could be handy in the coming weeks with Bowes and even an early Stewart upgrade looming. Could also keep R1 warm for a Gawn at 500k.

Strongly considering Cox (Freo) instead of NDaicos.
Thinking Daicos will still be getable come upgrade time.
Also leaves a bit more cash itb for future upgrades/disasters

I think the main thing for me, and the reason why I started with him (ignoring my bias as an Essendon supporter) is his commitment to the tackle. We've seen in the pre-season games and the two rounds that have been played, he has been the team's top tackler. He's getting plenty of the ball and he's racking up points without it too.

Probably a ruck reset to one of the pre-season combos. Gawn > English, Flanders > D. Cameron, Chesser to Setterfield.

Means I miss out on Hollands unfortunately who I really rate as a rookie but just want to set and forget the rucks, and English is the obvious standout, more so than individual players on other lines, so grabbing him sooner rather than later but having D.Cameron fwd seems to provide competent cover and scoring in his own right.

Was looking at Jack Buckley but with Whitfield back and up against one of the best forward lines in the business, Carlton, he could easily stall and regress, so will wait and watch for Bowes, Crozier and Samson(R3) next round.

Am I alone in potentially holding Darcy?? If he's not injured it's just one bad week.

I've gone Rat to Chandler, Callaghan to Sheezel[/QUOTe
It's Risky....if you don't trade him this week he becomes a hold. Watched the replay of the game last night. Wasn't pretty as you can expect. Just butchered everything that can his way...RD 1 only a good last quarter to a respectable score. Jackson is a concern.

I'm Thinking Darcy in the RK Line.

Allow setters to the MID. Then Ryan next week as bench cover.

Still don't Know....

Could even go to English, looks In ripping form, IF no injury could really hurt you by not having him.

Go with your instincts.....

I'm sorry but set and forget and English does not work.

Set and forget means that they play every week.
English has a record of 15, 18, 17, 19, 7 & 2 games per season.
I hope you have ruck coverage at R3 or DPP ability.

Is Chandler really must-have? I don't really have a reasonable way to get him.

If I trade Chesser > Chandler then I'll have to play Chandler on field instead of Mackenzie, which doesn't seem wise. Could trade Greene/Caminiti > Chandler instead and have him on the bench, but neither are scoring bad enough to justify getting rid of just yet. If I trade Flangers > Chandler then that means missing out on Setterfield, who seems a much more important trade-in.

May end up having to just ignore Chanlder and hope his scoring so far is unsustainable.
On the flipside. If Chandler keeps up his scoring, he makes 250k

I'm getting Worpel this week. No real competition for his spot in the middle. Even with less CBAs last week, still scored well. Went at 98 last time there was no Titchell at the Hawks.

I held Darcy but his terrible score last week 41/122 was just too much. He looked awfully lethargic and disinterested- a bystander just watching what was happening around him. Scores can bounce around week to week, that’s fine, but when a player shows major lack of intent, that’s a red flag 4 me

I'm sure someone has already had the thought to slingshot Hopper > Setterfeild and bring Hopper back in next week, or whenever he comes back?

FOMO is big - Setters feels like Hewett last year.

Would mean not getting Chandler and keeping Chesser.

Just spitballing, really. Might have to be happy I've got Naicos, Hopper, and this week have picked up Cameron, Ziebell and Chandler. Just getting greedy.

What will Setters price be next week if he bangs another 100 - disregard, around $420k looking at too serious.

Might have to look at him next week.
Yeah, he's still a prospect next week. Structure is the problem. If he was listed as a defender, I'd have to get him.

I was going to go Option A :-

Bruhn > Chandler
Darcy > Cameron
Jones > Daicos

But now thinking Option B might be better:-

Ridley > Daicos (worried now with BZT out he plays more as a key back)
Darcy > Cameron
Bruhn > Setterfield (Cogs to fwd line)

Leaves me like this:-

View attachment 54779

It means I miss out on Chandler unfortunately but with Hopper missing this week I can swing Mackenzie on (v North this week) pending hawks team announcement (hoping no Nash who took serious mid mins from him on the weekend) to cover.

I do like Ziebell but he doesn't really suit my structure.

Thoughts appreciated (y)
A for mine, don't think Ridley is an issue right now.

This option gets you an extra premium, B does not.
