would go the forward in the team that looks premiership material most weeks.
Brockman is a reasonable choice, yeah. :)

(OK, I can't say that with a straight face, Hawks will not be looking like that this year).
The Bytel and Phillips options both looked good to me. I suggested the latter for our combined team.
We can't afford Phillips, alongside English in any case. There's a poll up now for this second trade.

Ended up grabbing Bowes for Constable when he was named out... not sure it was the right move. Bit strapped for cash now and have to get rid of Cameron... no clue what to do. Screenshot_20230405_083418_Chrome.jpg

An option could be
Out: D Cameron and L Jones
In: H Rowston (via Dunkley)/early on fwd rookie and J Dawson/J Sicily/T Stewart

Why is Bytel so popular?
I started him and obviously he was unlucky with the knee cut, but he was a fringe gamble in Rd 1, even with the injuries didn't come back in last week and is no guarantee to be recalled this week as far as I can tell. Feel a bit out of step.
Agreed, I don’t like either (Phillips or Bytel) but I wasn’t expecting either to be named so people will be able to pivot off tomorrow night at least.

Phillips hard to see him keep his spot with LDU/Simpkin back (maybe Greenwood goes out, but his role and job security will still be poor)

Bytel as you mention probably won’t come back in. Even if he does he’s not on the bubble yet, but he would have poor job security as well.

Starting to lean towards just doing the one trade this week of DCam to Nank/English.
Have Callaghan but think I might keep him. I have 369k if I trade him and there’s lots of decent options, but not a lot of great options. I want to see how Pickett goes this week. Callaghan to Pickett now leaves 4.6k in the bank, so since Callaghan’s BE is 69 he needs to go 59-60 to still be able to afford the trade next week. Otherwise I’d trade him to Hewett/Bytel/JVR or another mid price option I fancy. Going down to a rookie would allow me to also go Ridley to Naicos.

I’ll either E Hollands/Baker into Callaghan or E Callaghan into Mackenzie.

Thoughts?

Has to be Worpel out I think, Ridley is the only other pressing issue but If I'm trading him its surely up to Sicily/Stewart etc not down to a bit of a nothing pick, Day would appeal if he was 100k cheaper.

Think Phillips or Bytel or even Rowston going to the bench isnt the worst scenario, would let me field Chandler with a good draw for the next few weeks aswell which is handy.
You could trade Laird to Josh Kelly/LDU to get the cash for Cameron to English.

Allows you to give Worpel another chance.

My judgement for trades have been at the sublime level of poo.

They say 3rd times a charm so:
Out: Gulden and Callaghan
In: Oliver and Young.

My wonderous Captain choice last week was the Ruck Spud Marshall, I was certain I had selected Witts but alas it was not so.

2 unforced trades this week. This is un Professor like, but, I'm on the lookout to improve my team and onfield points.

Out - Pedlar 1 game suspension, Gulden
In - Caminiti cash gen and Oliver.

I don't like chasing points, nor trading out uninjured players. Gulden to Oliver gives me 25 points plus per week and will be a top 5 mid. I may get Gulden back later in the season in my forwards. Pedlar missing 1 game provides the downgrade to get Oliver and ride the cash that Caminiti brings.

You really think he's hit the wall after a career high 39 disposals?? D/E was definitely down for him but a lot of that would have been due to the downpour that Sydney copped last Saturday & the state of the ground.

I actually thought Cripps & Docherty both scored way unders for how they actually played
I literally said the opposite. I said it will be a gentle decline until it isn't and that few just hit the wall.

Been a pretty rough start this year. Got a few issues in D.Cam and a negative POD in D.Rioli. The lack of English and Oliver has been hurting too.

Planned trades at the moment are
D.Cameron > English
Rioli > Oliver
Doc > L.Jones, who a few people seem to be trading out at the moment to fund other trades despite his -BE.

Could possibly bring in someone like Phillips / Long / Chandler instead of Jones, but don't really want to rely on Cowan for on-field scoring. These moves give two more genuine captain options moving forward, which I haven't nailed at all this season. Laird R1, Green R2 and Laird R3.

You should be giving us advice ;)

The only player you have that I have concerns about is Worpel, but you may just want to ride him out for now, given the state of your team you could go Worpel to Phillips/Bytel to free up some cash, but your current rookie crop is OK are this stage so would not be too concerned about missing Phillips given is potential JS issues.

I would probably lean towards holding for now and seeing how Worpel goes this week and reassess next week.

I guess the only other thing is how you see Marshall going forward, but he's probably a ride out for now as well for mine.

Well done on getting to this point and good luck going forward :)

The problem as I see it with Worpel is role.

I guess it depends how do you feel about him?

I think Hopper is probably a better option, but depends on how you feel about Worpel going forward.

Any Tiges fans know much about Tylar Young's JS? Worried he's straight out whenever Tarrant/Gibcus are back.

An option could be
Out: J Worpel and E Ratugolea
In: J Ziebell (via fwd/mid) and rookie (mid or fwd)

Able to push Wilmot to the bench if need be in RD6 and could trade Chesser/Constable for rookie in the process of moving Ziebell down back in that round.
