On tom Cole...

West Coast’s injury crisis is reaching disastrous levels after it was revealed defender Tom Cole is set for a long stint on the sidelines having re-aggravated the same ankle injury that cost him all of last season.

“Yeah it is not great at the moment ... but it looks like a longer-than-a-week injury,” Simpson told 6PR.
“It’s the same ankle he had damage to last year and it just flared up a little bit, so we just need to dig a bit deeper with what’s going on with it.”

Well, unfortunate for Cole but glad I decided to trade him over Jone5 with that news.

Suspensions for tackles like these is ridiculous. You assume responsibility for some of the risk when you sign up to play surely.

May as well remove the tackle, go back to 2 bumps meaning holding the ball like when I played U10s…… oh wait.

I finally understand why everyone's so big on Daicos to win the Brownlow. His competition will all get suspended at some point this year for dangerous tackles, but you can't get suspended if you don't lay a tackle.
I get the joke but some stats for info:
Has laid 6 tackles which is more than (Broad, Burton, Ziebell, Crozier, Haynes, Jiath, Sinclair, Scrimshaw, Tuohy, etc.)

If he gets off for that, that'll make Day's 2 match suspension even more ridiculous.
It's already pretty ridiculous, getting rubbed out for 2 weeks for "potential" to cause injury, when you see some of the other decisions which have actually resulted in injury getting less, and incidents like Pickett in Rd 1 getting the same suspension - you can't say the potential for injury in both was the same if that's how you are judging it.

Joke of a system as it currently is, go back to the old days. Tribunal for all incidents, decision is final, no appeals. Let them use common sense and be able to compare one incident to another in determining suspensions rather than using a set classification system which gives these inconsistencies. Won't happen though.
