Sam Draper is coming off 2 tonnes, including one against Grundy and will be rucking against Frampton on Monday. Another tonne and he'll make you 100k if thats your thing. Nice fallback option anyway for if Witts doesn't get up
Thanks mate. Draper is just not reliable enough for SC. Love him as a player of course!

$$$ isn't what I am after. Yeah, the ship has somewhat sailed with English, but I can't afford another week with Moyles. I would go Gawn if the fact that he wasn't dropping $100k in the next 2 weeks.

Todd Goldstein's 300th game this round. Was the top SC ruckman a few years ago, remember VCing him one Friday night against Essendon where he scored a 221. Champion player and could have left the Roos for a shot at a premiership but stuck with them. Hope the Roos get up for him.
Turn away now IDIG. I know the scars are still there.

Totally agree. I suggested it more as an option that allows you to keep Witts if you want. You don't have to worry so much about him being a late out as you have another viable stand in in Draper playing after Witts (who also has Geelong and Port after Collingwood - 3 very weak ruck divisions). Yes, you would be trading him out in a few weeks once Gawn has bottomed out, by which stage, Draper has made you maybe 75k and Gawn has dropped 75k.

You would therefore have "made" 150k from 2 trades, one of which was an injury trade

It's forcing things a bit but again, it's a fallback strategy that you enact only if Witts doesn't get up

It’s definitely not hit outs so the strength of opposition rucks isn’t a point of emphasis for me. He’s been kicking goals the last few weeks, hence his 100’s, but if you asked me to gamble on a player with his goal kicking action to consistently kick a few goals then it’s a clear no way for me.

West Coast’s injury crisis could lead to a fifth debutant this season, with young ruckman Harry Barnett on the flight east ahead of the Eagles’ clash with Port Adelaide.
Barnett, Rhett Bazzo, Zane Trew and Luke Foley joined captain Luke Shuey on West Coast’s plane to South Australia ahead of Saturday’s fixture at Adelaide Oval.
