I feel that Cincotta is not a like-for-like with Cowan, one is a rebounding defender whilst the other is a lockdown defender.
Cincotta's JS will be dependent on when Saad/Docherty returns.

Agreed with all your observations but still think his JS is not as good as could be.
100% agree. When everyone is fit, our defence looks like this (IMO anyway)

McGovern Weitering Newman
Docherty Young Saad

Williams as the 7th

The standard 2 talls, a 3rd tall interceptor, Newman playing as the lockdown, and then 3 rebounding defenders

However with Williams out for the year, that leaves a single spot for Cowan, Cincotta, Boyd, Marchbank, and Kemp. And FWIW, I believe Carlton want Boyd.

Boyd returned to VFL for his first game this week, Saad maybe given an extra week, and Doc about 3 away, interesting to see who we give games to these next few weeks. All I hope is we finally move Kennedy out of defence…

Day is such an interesting one. Form and role looks good, so on the one hand it's a potential D6 at $450k. But unproven in this role over a period of time and injury prone - with the number of trades invested in fixing injuries, it might not be the best move to bring in a risky player that has unproven upside. Especially when someone like Sicily is ~$80k more, and Sinclair not ~+$90k.
I think I've changed my mind and I'm leaning towards passing on him and going for either Sicily (have Sinclair already), or potentially paying up a bit more for Walsh or another prem mid.
Yeah, I'm gonna get me one of those reliable premiums like Docherty, Gawn or Miller 😄

I see a lot wanting to bring in Sturt this week, I have no idea who he has come in for, nor any idea of his JS.

Would some of our esteemed Freo supporters care to elaborate?

Not too keen on Day so might double downgrade instead and then get a player that I'm more confident in being up there in or around the top 8 in their position at the end of the year(Sicily, Neale, Sinclair or Cogs) the week after.

Either that or get rid of Chandler instead of Wilmot and get Cogs but would rather keep him a bit longer.

Gees watching Chandler I want to keep him for a while, settling on the double down barring any injuries.
Thinking Mitchell for sure but not sure about the 2nd rookie yet.

With my forward only rookies Greene, Chandler and JVR all scoring well this week and my other rookies spudding it up, I am going to have to rethink my trade plans.
This makes it tricky as you need to find a spot for any FWD upgrades in the Mids or move Sheezle/JZ to DEF, partly why I let Hawkins go this round.

A good problem nevertheless in that there's no rush to move them on unless they're the very last Rookie you need to get off the field.

Thinking of McVee and McKenna to Mitchell & Sicily.

Could be Wilmot instead of McVee but with Hibberd and a couple of key ins for Melbourne I’m not sure on McVees JS going forward .

Could also boost and trade all three if Sturt is named but not sure if the boost is necessary. Especially with Georgiades ACL, Lords JS just improved and he could be a fwd upgrade next week.

Also slightly cooling on Day partly due to Nash and Newcombe doing well in his absence, more is his CBA's going to 50% or more like his last game 80%. Did look impressive vs Geelong and Nash did have 60% CBA's in Day's last game. Worpel and Newcombe seen as the more hybrid mid/fwds. Price attractive and defender 5-6 hard to pick.

Do we still this Hawks were crazy getting rid of Tom Mitchell and JOM? Last two games they have been competitive.

OUT: McKenna, L Jones, Ashcroft

IN: Coniglio, Day, Mitchell
Lots of love for Cogs post his 130, bit similar to game one. what happened vs Ess and Eagles. DE's were ok vs ESS, tackle count down.

Anyone feel the FOMO of trading out rookies is dissipating quickly. Greene, JVR and Chandler the engine room for cats generation right now + Esava (who would have said that round 1-2).

Defenders stalling for me with Stocker, McKenna, Jones and Cowan. Mids Pou, Holland and Cashcroft closer to topping out, yet will sit on last two for consistency.

Number of sides running low on good bench rookies, even a season starting Madden over Samson is looking costly. Subject to the odd good rookie coming along in runs 8-10, side could look very different for those who can keep upgrading. Looking forward to the byes when my boosts are refreshed given the last one will be used this week!

Been costly having Bruhn, Flanders, Callaghan (although improving), Fyfe, Stewart, DC, Gawn, Touk and Amartey. At least Roberts has DPP usefulness, hopefully MJ keeps getting a game although has Cowan like scoring power.

Sheezel watch is going to be interesting this week, BE could be 100.

Trades

Touk maybe to Walsh/Serong
Jones does to Seamus Mitchell
Mckenna up to Day/JDG type priced player

My 1st trade is decided for me, Pickett > Mitchell, brought Pickett in for a little cash gen which he delivered, all 7k of it after his abysmal performance this week.
Still a bit suss on a 2nd trade with McKenna on the radar, trouble is that he has reasonable JS (although scores of 50 odd just dont cut it) and whoever I bring in (Wagner or Cincotta) don't have it.
I have no idea of Sturt's JS either, hopefully someone here has an opinion that they'd like to share?

Sturts JS will be form based. If he keeps playing the way he played on Friday he'll be safe. Couldn't expect much more from a medium forward in a game like that. Not sure his scoring potential is great though. He won't kick two goals each week and barely got any touches. I think he's capable of playing up the ground a bit, but not sure if that's the coaches aim for him.
