Seen this on Facebook a bit tonight...

In a deal that'll see Lumumba head to the Dees, the Pies can expect Mitch Clark back the other way with several teams pulling out of the race for the key forward.

God I hope this is true (given Clark passes all psychological and fitness tests, of course). Forward line would look so much more fearsome with him in there and with White taking the third defender, not to mention Jamie Elliott down there as well. Clark would also be able to swap into the ruck (far better ruckman than White) allowing Witts or Grundy to rest forward. I'm fully supportive of this move as a Pies supporter.

I wonder how well Clark will be able to perform at AFL, even taking his issues aside. He has hardly played much football in recent years:

2014: No games
2013: 4 games at the start of the year, so his last match was rd 4, 21st of April. Hence by Round 1 next year it will have been 23 months since his last game.
2012: 11 games in the first half of the season until rd 13. Hence in the last 2.5 seasons he has played just 4 games.
2011: 17 games, this was his last close to full year he has played.

That is a lot of football missed and the game changes rapidly. I wouldn't be expecting great things from him, especially early days.

I fully expect Mitch Clark to end up at Freo.
Dees probably do a trade deal with Freo once they both worked out the ideal trade.

Crows would be absolutely spewing to have another start player go. With the introduction of the expansion teams they have lost some real quality, plus Gunston coming to Hawthorn (who was an absolute steal for us).

Clubs lining up for Jake Carlisle as well.

If Clark ends up at Collingwood that will be 3 years in a row they have gone for a tall forward and second ruck option, hopefully he would turn out better than the previous 2.

Was gonna say. Big Q and White has backfired. Hard to poach quality Tall FWDS that make an impact. We do them no favours with a ball drlivery tho. Compare the hawks inside 50 ball to ours and its a joke

Quick, offer him a 8 year contract.... Could afford to pay him more than that at the back end of the deal with players like Goddard, Jobe, Chappy retiring down the track.

Adelaide needs a cost of living in a quiet unglamorous city allowance!

Yeah for sure. After the year he's had, coming into the age bracket he is we definitely don't want to be losing him now :(

That's a ridiculous rumour. Why would Melbourne want a poor defender with behavioural issues? Probably started by the people that said Selwood wouldn't play last night for no apparent reason.
