The gazza trade will be the most important trade for the leaders and could decide the winner !
and not just the trade but the C & Vc choices from here

Agree - was thinking about that last night, if Ablett is out for an extended period it will add an element of skill/luck with vice/captain choices. Will people be willing to gamble if they have a 100-120 score from their vice.

Luckily Collingwood play in the last or 2nd last game for the next 4 weeks.

Nice the Gazza shaking things up, so not so predictable end to season for those still in running. Those that went hard early and very agressive in trading that helped them get high rankings now could be in for a fall if only got 1or 2 trades left right now. Maybe one or two coaches in top ten could even be in that position. Suspect most had 4 or 5 trades left or maybe more.

The number 1 overall team Torrential Raines has scored 2192 this week. Will likely see a new leader emerge.

Top teams have all struggled by the looks. Might have given a few teams a chance to sneak closer to the top.

Team in front. Miles at M9. Stefan Martin at F7. Going to be hard to mow down. Very strong side.

Stefan Martin was the inspired pick up a few weeks back if you had the R/F link in particular. Miles was brilliant for say Hallahan.

Depends on the number of trades left, but it is going to be hard for anyone outside the top 4 to win from here. Will definitely need a few more weeks like the one we just had, and hope to avoid the carnage.

Agree. On sheer team, it looks unbeatable. From here though, no. trades left and what it down with GAJ will be huge.

Maybe the leader saves a trade and uses Miles --- not a bad option if GAJ is only out for 3 weeks. Not a bad option too if you hold the view that :

- Selwood will likely get at least 1 weeks rest (i think this week vs Melb as a start), ditto Fyfe nearing finals (Lyon a monty to give him at least 1 week off), JPK (past history would suggest may not be given a rest), dangerfield (certainly looks like he needs it; Adelaide can't afford to drop 1 50-50 game from here on in; maybe he plays them all?), Buddy (in top team; he could be given a rest R21, 22; maybe - or just given half game time).

It is K Jack that I traded in and not his younger brother, isn't it??

Yep, he has definitely gone downhill since I traded him in. Even last week, he was on track for a monster, then doesn't play half the last quarter. Still happy with the logic of him over SJ, but in hindsight Fyfe would have the go.

What are the chances of him averaging 140 on the run home? :p

I follow Freo and still baulk at Nathan Fyfe because of injury, suspension and Ross Lyon. I picked him up a few weeks ago which has worked for me but have my fingers crossed.

Hopefully Jack turns it around for you mate. I was that close to bringing him in this week if one of the Geelong boys was out myself.

I'll be very interested to see what teams do if Gaz is 3 weeks (or two matches). Conventional thought would be to hold if you're down to 2-3 trades like I suspect some would be but 50k is a lot of money and if you were to take a risk, this would be one. Grab the right player and close the gap by 100 points while Gaz is out and it might just be enough to get you home, especially if he misses more than 2.

That Stefan Martin dilemma of what to do was always going to be a biggy.
Felt it might have a big say and looks like it is to some extent. Still, this week what people do about Ablett will be big for high rankers too. Get it right and who knows. Get it wrong and certainly curtains.

1st has no backline cover
2nd has poor ruck and forward line cover
3rd has no ruck cover
4th has no ruck cover

The problem is now from 5th to 4th is 100 points, 4th to 2nd is 100 points and 2nd to first is 100 points!

It's starting to look like you're in the ANZAC march with all those medals tracygrims.

I still think with 7 rounds left and a lot of sore premiums those points can be made up. The rucks could be the key. Jacobs going down would hurt a lot of the top 10. Your coverage is pretty good.
