7 mids with a choice of a 7th def or fwd would be good. Mainly because I always fk up my M8 hahaha.

Although next year, I could easily pick 7 defs
Yep, it’s looking more and more like we’re going to have too many options. And without knowing which M/F we get, I reckon there’s going to be at least a couple of mids who gain DPP that everyone will have, effectively reducing our PODs before the season starts.

I played draft for the first time this year and really enjoyed the effect PODs have on the game..so whatever changes we can make to have more PODs the better imo

where do you fit him in ?

Laird , Lloyd , Yeo
Whitfield
Docherty , Williams
Andrews , Short , Witherden
Roberton might be reasonably priced as well
No chance at all Yeo keeps his DEF status next season, has been playing pure mid all season and has in fact attended the most centre bounces of any Eagle player this year.

You say luck, I say skill! ?
But good point, the game has become more about filling your team with top shelf premiums rather than second tier players. Personally I like the idea of more PODs which having more def/fwd would encourage.
Zones are in :) Introduce Zones to create more PODs.
Start a SC team with something like (just off the top of my head): A third of your Team's players are priced $500,000+, a third $499,900 - $300,000 and a third less then $299,900. AND have 2 trades every week, but during the season, if a third of your current team zone's quota is full, then you can't trade in a player in that price range zone.

Just a random thought, would the game be more enjoyable/strategic/skilful if we increased the number of fwds and defenders by 1 or 2? I don’t hate the idea of having 8 fwd/def to be honest.
said many times before "force" us to pick 2/3 key position players in defence and forwards.

If Bont , Danger , Dusty , Heeney are all available as forwards next year may as just start with 12 mid positions

I'd try find a way and chase value elsewhere haha. Gray will remain a fwd as well you'd think! If there aren't many fwd rookies, just set and forget your fwd line with Bont, Gray, Danger, Heeney, Dusty (?), Bennell (rookie priced)

I would think that even if the “official” rules define them all as forwards, very few of them will be.

Dunkley is averaging 105 for his last 8 and 122.5 for his last 4!!! Breakout next year if he is still a mid fwd.
