Not a player but max 4 starting premiums I'm the midfield. I've been too MID heavy the past few seasons.

I’ve missed quite a few of the good rookies this year, which usually doesn’t happen ...

so I’m considering a more GnR side, not so much to avoid the pitfalls of midpricers, but to maximize my chances of getting the best starting rookies.

Forwards might actually provide a (interesting) challenge next season , looking at the current Top 20 by averages there are only 3 "legitimate" forwards in Lynch , Cameron & Hawkins.

Boak 113.1
Marshall 108.4
Dangerfield 108.4
Dunkley 107.6
Kelly 107.4
Walters 102.2
Daniel 102.1
Lycett 100.4
Mundy 94.1
Billings 93.9
Heeney 93.2
Lynch 92.8
Cameron 92.8
Lobb 91.5
Ziebell 90.8
Hawkins 90.6
Worpel 89.6
Parish 89.4
Robinson 89.4
Lambert 87.6

Obviously I don't know starting position % so we may still end up with a number of mids to choose in our Forward lines

Walters and Heeney will definitely keep their forward status. The top 5 all look set to lose it with Dunkley probably having forward status now but likely to lose it by seasons end. Whitfield could be a mid-forward too and Dusty seems likely. The AFL player ratings twitter gives us a pretty accurate guide, as far as I’m aware all of their classifications were true in SC at the end of last year with maybe one or two exceptions

Reckon Sicily will get forward status next year? Or will they just put his foray up forward this year down to a brain explosion by Clarko?

Would depend on how much time he spent up forward. Reckon he'll need to spend 6 to 7 full games up forward to get DPP, which I don't think he's had so far.

On current player prices I am interested in the following players.

Lloyd, Laird, Sicily.
Neale, Cripps, Fyfe, Bont, Sloane, Merrett, Gaff.
Marshall, ROB, Gawn, Grundy, Nic Nat, Nank.
Danger, Kelly, Heeney, Gray.

Could easily have a decent starting team with 12 of those guys.

Forwards might be tricky if they take away their DPP and are just mids. Feel like at least two of those you named will have it stripped based on this year’s selections.

Agreed - do you think those players are likely to outperform their prices, or they're just solid starting picks that you don't target at fair value?

Annoying that Marshall is gonna be a ruck. Not sure you can pick him with Gawn/Grundy, but he is going to be a SC star for the next decade.
