Guns and Rookies again. Shelling out the big bucks for the best guys that will be near on guaranteed to be top averages in position.

Lloyd, Docherty, Laird.
Cripps, Neale, Mitchell, Oliver, McCrae
Gawn, Grundy
Dusty, (Whatever F/M gift they give us like Tim Kelly) No more Heeney.

No more Pendles for the first time in a dozen years. :( Passing of the baton. :(

Is there any reliable data source for % of time played broke down by position for AFL players, or is that premium Champion Data stuff that they only provide to clubs and CH7 / Fox Footy?

AFL player ratings now have Danger listed as a mid-fwd and Dunkley as a pure mid

If I had to make a team tomorrow it would be:
Lloyd, Laird, Docherty
J Kelly, Macrae, Titch, Dunkley, Oliver, Ward
Grundy & Gawn/Marshall
Danger, Dustin Martin, Heeney, Wingard,
Nah mate you've busted the cap I reckon. Need to cut one and shift Danger to mids.

thoughts on Dangermouse if he is mid only or have the likes of Bont , Cripps , Fyfe , Kelly , MacRae , Neale , Oliver , Treloar gone past him ?
Not sure I'd start him next year at top price without DPP, but he is on par with any of those names IMO for the durability factor - to be fair I'm not sure I'd start any of them at top price for various reasons.

If GAJ plays on and goes 80:20 FWD-MID then I'd be all over Danger as as one of the key MID upgrades, whether Kelly stays or not.

Wonder if the Giants will also look to target Goldy.

If Ryder does move and retains/receives fwd/ruck status then I'll likely head in with a starting fwd line with nobody above 450,000.
Ryder would be interesting as a starting FWD I guess - while I doubt he'd have a breakout season at age 32 he still might be worth starting, with a view to keeping him as potential cheap F6-7 / ruck cover in a finished team with a 95-100 average?

I think McEvoy may be another ruck to consider in 2020, depending on trades. Having a possible midfield around him of Titch, JOM and Cogs (hopefully) is a definite improvement on this year - should help his scoring, which has been reasonable anyway in a lot of games, especially wins.

...I'll still be locking in Grawndy at this stage, but could be a value option to consider.

I reckon Richmonds Lynch is a lock if sub 350k
I like the McCluggage & Berry interest shown here.
I think that Curnow fella will be good the year Carlton finally start to climb the ladder, could be next year or 2021.

For me I might try a year where I avoid all of the big injury names the entire year, I have never managed to do it yet.

Someone will have to fill the T.Kelly void at the cats, will be good for Menegola at least.

If Cogs leaves GWS Taranto will be a starter for me. (Watch how he finishes the year now with Cogs out)

Are you thinking that Heeney will be mid only? I had figured he would still be forward eligible:

- Goal and behinds both up vs last year
- Clearances down
- R50s down

I know this is not how it’s decided, but I took this as a good indication he’s not playing meaningfully more mid time.

T Lynch 2020
Last 2 matches with Riewoldt returning has registered 103 and 116.
These are the only 2 matches currently in 2019 where he has recorded more than 15 disposals (18,19)
1st season in his career averaging below 11 disposals a game (currently at 9.7)

Been against poor opposition. Need a bigger sample size. He is looking like a beast though.
