Late last week Stuart Dew revealed recently re-signed young gun Izak Rankine’s comeback had hit a snag.

Rankine returned to football at NEAFL level after suffering a hamstring injury in the pre-season, however, a hip complaint has seen him miss the last two NEAFL matches.

“He’s got a bit of a sore hip at the moment, so were taking a real cautious track with him given its his first year in the system,” Dew said.

“We are just going very slow with him there’s no deadline on that, there’s no need for him to play AFL this year and at the moment we’ll just clear up his hip complaint and go from there.”

Still reckon he offers good value for next year but I remember the crows regularly had 8 defenders at centre bounces in 2018 and as one of the loose men back he seemed to benefit a lot.

Our lack of a plan B with this tactic with the new 6-6-6 rule seems to have impacted the whole teams effectiveness. I will be staying away from crows unless we have a coaching cleanout and get some fresh ideas in the place.

Milera impacted Laird at times this year? Doedee coming back too.....probably means nothing for Laird but your back line confuses me when it comes to picking laird in 2020.

Yeah, does all the right things and makes very few mistakes. Will be a gift if he gets F/M status.

What if he is mid only ? I guess he needs to get in that 105-108 pt + range to make that worthwhile though , plenty of other options though.

With Berry , Lyons , Neale , Rich , Robinson , Zorko etc not a lot of pie to share either.
