@Damion23

RD9 2016: H Shaw= 1125 Metres Gained
Malceski, Hanley, Danger and Wingard have also done it.

Not sure when they started keeping that stat though so probably some more back in the day. Hard to think someone like Buckley wouldn't have done it on his 40 touch games with how long he kicked and his run and carry.

Trying not to get too Rowsus about it, but having had him in there for weeks, is there a point where ownership is so high that you take him out again?

He's a D5 and is my 5th preferred DEF premium, so could slide out anyway...
Obviously his ownership will continue to grow.
I wouldn't consider dropping him out, until he got over say 40%.
If he's your 5th pick as a Def, and you need to cull one, then just cull him, irrespective of his %.

Not ruling out finishing Laird at M8 at this point.
Barring massive changes in the scoring patterns to where defenders become the midfielders that just seems like a complete waste. If Laird is scoring well enough to be an M8 his positional value in defense is going to be considerably higher.

Assuming he scores 110 a game, at M8 he's breakeven, as a defender he's +10 also assuming the goal posts don't move for the positions.

Macpherson springs to mind from last years practice matches. Killed it preseason, started him over Petracca which I soon traded for. Short will regress to a 103 ish average I would think. Interesting how the game changes, a few years ago couldnt find many decent BL premiums. The Jonathon Browns and Nick Riewoldts up forward have disappeared. 2C.

Was humour:D The way things are pushing with which defenders to choose with no rookies as of yet.

Defenders (those playing as defenders) rarely have the consistency in numbers to be remotely close to top tier midfielders. There are always exceptions but logic says iif they have F/D availability that's where the line they should end up on.
