Has the AFL actually said why they haven't gone back this year to naming the Teams on Thursdays? Was it just that the AFL clubs prefer it, or is there another reason?

I think someone mentioned before that the coaches liked it so the AFL did it. They just do whatever the coaches say these days. "We like the idea of an emergency sub" so the AFL gave them one. The only people that don't seem to have a say are the supporters.

Next year they will probably follow the EPL model and release the teams 1 hour before the start of the game. I've copped plenty of donuts because of that this season (time zones don't help).
Really hope Flynn gets another couple of games the next two weeks, will then be time to cash in. Can't trust his long term JS with Mumford getting games and Preuss around the corner

I only own two of them. I'm not going to guarantee I go donut free at this stage, but I am not too worried.
My big issue is that at least half my team are a reasonably high chance to score low in any particular round. I'm just hoping to avoid a bunch of those low scores at once yet again this round, as I have been hoping for most of the season. I'm not wanting massive scores, just for them to avoid their dud score range.
