I've seen this mentioned alot, but is it even true?

Davies seems to be playing mostly as a forward and only attended 3 centre bounces yesterday. Greenwood spent more time in the middle than that, didn't he?
I watched the game, and while he didn’t attend centre bounces he ran hard and worked hard to present all day. If I was Dew I would have loved his work rate, his last quarter was excellent and also represented roughly 40pts of score from memory, not sure if that’s a plus (what he can do at times) or minus (take it away and it’s only a 60pt game). I don’t have a spot for him right now, but next week with a chance to make 3 trades he might be an option.

Will Brodie's 23 possessions 9 contest with 8 tackles, 76%DE, 4 clearances and 3 free kicks only got him 76 points got me stumped 🤔
70% If that game time
I thought stats like that would push him closer to 100
Well first of all those stats aren't right (not sure where you've pulled them from?), but he had 22 disposals, 5 tackles and 63% DE. More handballs than kicks never help with a low DE either.
He was heading towards a 90+ at 3QT but spent the majority of the last on the bench, someone posted earlier something like 20mins so essentially didn't get a chance to add to his 3QT score. What he did he did well but did nothing when Freo made their charge and ultimately fell over the line, Chapman took 20+ points for that final spoil alone.
The more pertinent questions I have are...
  • Did JL not trust him when they had to go and win the game in the last quarter...?
  • Was he completely tanked by 3QT...?
  • Lowest TOG for team at 65%
I'll be following closely on how he's being used for the next game, hopefully we see Fyfe back in the team. If his TOG trend continues and/or Fyfe has a negative impact on his role then those are genuine red flags for mine.

So Berry & Ward to Rowell & Dixon will keep me awake all this week.

I acknowledge Dixon’s JS issues however he gives me Hayes as a forward option. Also allows me to move Rachele (DPP) to mids which I like.

I know conventional wisdom is to cool your jets for another week which I generally agree with. However with the extra trades does that conventional wisdom still apply?

One thing is for sure and that is many will trade this week and a percentage of those will make decisions that benefit their team in the long run. Even league finals will be harder to make if you get left behind. You may end up with better team in the long run but what good is it if you drop off the overall pace and don’t make league finals. Lots to think about.

Berry, Xerri and Brodie are issues for me.

NM can't play CCJ, Goldy and Xerri after seeing that on the weekend, interesting to see where they go with this and also Comben coming back into calculations.

Berry poss injury and a case of where's Wally after half time even when fit.

And Brodie exactly as @THCLT mentions above.

Wonder whether Durdin and Rachele can keep the peace in the forwards and see what the extra coin brings

I think Rowell is worth correcting to, his ownership is currently at 51% which translate to approximately 90%+ of serious coaches.
Of all the MP guys, he's in the top bracket of those with a genuine claim on staying the course for your team. No question on his role, scoring potential, etc. The ever presence injury concern (like when Rioli bumped him) is worth risking at his price.

Rowell is interesting, and he's certainly on my Radar. For those who dont have him and are consider trading him in, including me, across his career:
- 2 highest ever scores are against the eagles at 171, 157 (I know this too well lol)
- averages 77 against all other comers taking out his injury score of 6 , 72 if you include the injury score
- has an injury history and is still listed as only 78kg
- just played a WAFL standard midfield
- are you considering trading him in as a stepping stone? or a full time mid? do you think he will be top 12'ish ahead of Macrae, oliver, steele, miller, Neale, Trac, Brayshaw, mitchell and so on...
- watching him play yesterday, he is borderline reckless (PS I love watching this style of play!). One time rather than dispose of the ball he took on 2 and got crunched, I thought he was done again but to his credit he jumped straight up. might not be so lucky next time.
- Has Melbourne this week, cant see him getting off the chain this week and i feel a 75-95 more realistic.

He's obviously started off with a blinder, is a unique talent and im definitely considering him! just pointing out that all of us either did or did not pick him for a reason for me its injury history and i dont see him being a top 12 midfielder come years end. However when the data changes its prudent to at least review our decisions.

I'm prepared to wait another week as i really want to see how he goes against the Demons, because if i bring him in it requires a semi-restructure. We have more flexibility with the trade boost so I can then make a more informed decision after round 2 to change and get him in if it warrants.

FYI
You'll be waiting a long time if you're waiting to see him against the Cats as it's not part of the early schedule released so far.
GCS are up against the mighty Demons next so your point is still valid somewhat.

I watched the North game and it would be unjust if Xerri went before CCJ IMO.
