That’s annoying as a non-English owner. If Cordy misses this week, I feel like Stef comes in against a dual ruck combo. They can still use English pretty heavily around the ground and not have to use Hannan as a back up ruck.

Let’s not forget Hickey was a good 20+ SuperCoach ahead of English, they are still losing out on him in the ruck (unless he’s rucking against JPK/Amartey) #salty :p
Yeah I suppose it depends on where they position English when Stef is in the ruck though - last year they parked English forward and his scoring suffered.

How long does it last? Does he still go 90+ when he needs to share the ruck with Stefan Martin?
Thought Hickey still smashed him in the Ruck when he was out there, the numbers looked good because he smashed Amartey once he went off, still think its very likely Stef comes in at some point to give him some genuine Ruck support.

SC wise English was on 80 odd just after half time... with Hickey still there. So he was having a good game SC wise with or without Hickey

If he shares. Haha why would they bring in Martin if things are going decent?
Things are going decent for who? English's SuperCoach score? Lol

English got smashed last week mate - he let Pittonet get 11 hitouts to advantage & TDK another 4. He only had 3 himself.

He was getting smashed by Hickey again last night until he got injured - then he was luckily able to beat up on Amartey.

He is an average tap ruckman and needs support (y)

Fair enough, but I disagree he needs support ;)

If he was getting smashed at the point Hickey went off, his SC score certianly did not show it.

I'm happy to bask in the glory that he is finally in my team at least for the rest of the week ;)

That is because he plays as a midfielder that racks up disposals, clearances, marks and tackles.

The ruck element of his game is weak though and was a big reason why they lost the game last week. If Bevo ever decides he wants Bont, Macrae & co. to get first use, he will need to bring in someone else (y)

Small sample size for Tim English obviously but not sure bringing back Stef Martin is going to solve anything really.

Also another thing to note is Tim English has 22 clearances so far this year while Stef Martin had only 25 in 9 games last season.

Fair argument to be made that with English's clear around the ground advantage that Bulldogs are better off with English as a solo ruck than any other option.

Its a good thing the back up ruckman is well and truely past his prime then ;), I'm not sure he would ba able to do much better.
