Sounds like there might be a few more changes for the Eagles without mentioning any names... From the West Australian...

"While the 26 players named are all AFL-listed, Simpson revealed some Eagles may be ruled out through injury – forcing WAFL players to be required, although likely as emergencies.

“We’ve got a couple (COVID cases),” Simpson told SEN. “I think we’ve gone through the worst of it but there will be two or three every week for another month or so, I would have thought.

West Coast coach Adam Simpson has revealed COVID and injuries have the club on a knife-edge and the Eagles may require WAFL top-up players for the second consecutive week ahead of their clash with Melbourne on Sunday.

“Unfortunately though, the injuries have still hit us pretty hard.

“We’re pretty much playing everyone that is available and we may have to dip into the WAFL boys, potentially, if a couple of little niggles don’t go our way in the next 24 hours.

“We’re just working through that. We think we might be OK but we’re getting close to the line again.”

If required, The West Australian understands the COVID contingency players won’t come from the WA State Team – who also play on Sunday.

From honeyball today :-

So, the recent news that Leon Cameron is stepping down from coaching the Giants, we must keep faith in the Giants players that were being thrown around in different positions on a week-to-week basis. Mainly guys like Lachie Ash, Lachie Whitfield, Coniglio, Josh Kelly and a few others but the ones we mostly focus on are Whitfield, Coniglio and Kelly as these three either are played in a role that is weaker for their scoring or in Whitfield’s case, the magnet gets thrown around and wherever it lands is the position he plays.

**I’m sure in the last two weeks we have seen Whitfield play every position across the ground and I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets chucked into the ruck this week in Cameron’s farewell match. **Similarly,Kelly and Coniglio two of their best midfielders are stuck either on a wing or at half-forward at times and that has happened in their scoring in the past or currently. So, in the coming weeks when Mark McVeigh takes over the reign of coaching, keep an eye on any new role changes or ones that favour these players mentioned above.

😂😂😂😂

Anything is possible with Leon lol
