First time playing this year. What's the utility player?
Basically a flexible bench spot that can be any position. It allows you to have say 3 FWD only rookies on a bench. Other really useful thing is it allows you to use DPP without needing a pure link, so for example you can put a D/F on that spot from the position you had them, switch with a FWD or DEF only to cover them on field. It's actually quite useful.

You can also set an emergency from it, I'm not really sure how it would be useful because you have to pick the position and would only be better than just putting them on the bench at that spot if you needed 3 emergencies there.

I actually think it's one of their best differences to the other formats. The DPP aspect is awesome.

Thanks, good explanation.

Anyone ever done a draft league on AFL Fantasy before, obviously they've bought out UF this year so a lot of people are going to have to learn the god awful interface...

Was wondering if anyone knows how the loopholes work?

If I leave a spot on field empty it gives a very ominous warning that there will not be a score in the empty position, makes it sound like emergencies then wouldn't apply to that spot. In UF you can just leave the spots blank to achieve the loophole so wanting to confirm if that works the same here or if I need a genuine rolling donut to actually use it?

Cheers if anyone knows, tried the help and it's as useless as everything else on that site so hoping someone is unfortunate enough to have experience with it.

I’m planning on playing AFL Fantasy again this season after a few years off. I’d love to know how differently people pick their starting team to SC.

More MPM and underpriced potential keepers?
Thanks.

I go totally different but don't really have any care factor as the website is total rubbish and an embarrassment to the fantasy community ...

- every year I say that I'm giving it up .... but somehow keep getting dragged back in ....

Just try and go for guys who touch it a lot, because it doesn't penalise for clangers or ineffective use, it rewards for kicking it out on the full because it's a kick.

Has anyone got any AFL Fantasy Leagues to join? I usually just choose from the public pool but most of those ones end up sticking 2 or 3 "celebrities' in there.
