Well, what a roller coaster start to the season! Had the highs of Cognilio (143) and Green (134). Did OK with my on-field rookies: Ginbey (85), Callaghan (101), Mackenzie (93) and Sheezel (114). Then there’s some bad luck with the trifecta of Stewart (18), L Jones (5) and Fyfe (26). I’ll hold myself accountable for the Fyfe pick since should have looked elsewhere (always easy with the benefit of hindsight)! With those last 3, I did feel like the poor bloke in yesterday’s paper who has been a customer of Optus, Medibank and Latitude Financial. Most heart warming moment this weekend was seeing Tippa come on to play in Hawks v Bombers game and then kick his goal. And I say that as a Tigers fan.
2110 - many problems to deal with like everyone else but will take it.
Easy to dwell on the misses (dumped LDU after 2nd pre-season game after loving him in match-sim game, Young in many of our teams and then being poor and no Ryan in his pre-season games, Liam Jones injury, no JHF/Daicos/Gawn/Green)
But a few successes (no Laird who was strongly in contention in my team late), looping Sheezel with Greene which ended up being 81 points difference (Sheezel has booked his spot on the field going forward obviously!) and English/Cogs putting in some solid Round 1 scores helped.
