After a nightmare 1896 with no Stewart to blame I should be hitting the boost button, but think I might hold for now, Fyfe and Jones obvious targets but with Fyfe against North I think he deserves one more crack and Jones against the Saints who bulked up every Freo defenders average I might hold there as well. Sheezel and McKenna the most obvious targets for me next week and possibly Combden if Xerri out for extended time.

Whilst true, always worried about lingering effects - often players don't come back 100%. Need points on the field in the next few weeks after a poor start.
Im a Kelly owner. I feel he was worth the risk as a starting pick, bur really is the type that we just needed everything to go right for him to be worthwhile. I think with his injury history and poor start it's time to cut him loose.

Didn’t watch the whole game but in the bits I did I thought Max Michalanney looked pretty good.
Don’t think he has the best role for scoring but maybe worth considering along with Cole as a Jones replacement?
Given an 8 year scoring average of 55, if the answer is T Cole, then you asked the wrong question. I have Jone5 and nothing on this earth would make me trade him to Cole.

I have made 1 trade to sure up the defence:
Out: Hopper
In: Daicos

Leaves me $104,400 in the bank
This is where a trade this week might be a good idea. It appears that our Def rookies aren't as solid as we thought, and the 1 or 2 premo defence is not the way to go. An extra premo down back to move a rookie off field is great if you can manage it. I am running with 2 Def premo's but lack the funds to add one at the moment. So I will be simply holding and waiting on the extra week data, getting the rookies right before acting on D3.

North Melb.
It's probably already been dropped in the thread but my memory is foggy from last year when it was new...

We can still reverse trades after the round has started, except for players that have already been locked out?

Stewart to one of Daicos or Young. Had Young ahead of Daicos in preseason, so will probably take that line. Freo has a better early draw than Pies too.

I've also got midpricers in Bruhn and Hunter Clark who had severely reduced TOG. Do I go one up and one down? Could mean I also get Daicos in as well.

It's an interesting one. The number, as you say looks horrible, but it also feels like that's not fully representative of his capability (and is also a bit disingenuous given it includes his first 2 years with minimal games). He's had a stack of injuries over the journey, and if he can get some continuity you might get 70 out of his role.

Liam Jones is 32. In his 12 years in the league he's had one year >75 and that's a 77. He's also been out of the game for a year, and is coming back into a side that is very tall forward of the ball, but ageing in terms of talls behind the ball. I don't know what people have pencilled in as an expected average for him, but to me 75 seems about a best case, with a worst case that they just swing a Darcy or Bruce behind the ball and he's completely gone.

Cole is 7 years younger, so it feels like he could have a little upside still. But most importantly he's almost 50k cheaper.

If I assume Cole's job security is very good, then I can see a way you'd want Cole over Jones now that Jones has a stinker to inhibit his initial price growth, because you don't want either of them for more than 2 months.

And yes, you might actually want Michelanney over both, given his starting price. I liked the words coming out of Adelaide about him in the preseason (and his U18 highlights) enough to draft him in my keeper league, but wasn't brave enough to take him in my SC classic team, but he only needs 5 or 6 weeks, and Adelaide seem to have copped injuries down back (I think, just going off the game thread?), so his JS for the next month might be enough to make him the better choice over either Cole or Jones for cash gen.

GWS are cooked after yesterdays heat, combined with the travel to Perth and I’m not sure that they will be running out that last qtr with much left in the tank.
West Coast also played in the oven at Marvel.

It will be interesting how the sides that played in extreme heat go next week. Port v Bris was a stinker too, which likely explains the Brisbane midfield fade out (they travelled, Port didn't).

Adelaide travelled and fell away in the heat, despite an advantage in rotations. I'd be wary of bringing in players from the 6 sides that played in extreme conditions.

I want Sheezel, but it would probably be for Allen. They both played in near 40 degree temp inside the roof, so who knows how their recovery goes?

Have 2 questions, Nathan Wilson and Pou.

Do we think Wlso can continue to score like this? Or is his score inflated because every Freo defender seemed to score 150 yesterday. Ideally I’ll downgrade Jones to I have cash for Hopper to Green, but interested in Wilson if we think he can average similar to yesterday

Didnt catch the game, but does Pou look like he might be a must have? Will definitely give him another week to sus, but with my current planned trades, means my options to get him in next week are likely for only Hollands or Allen due to cash
