I looked back through and I think I'm the only person in this thread who has floated a Gulden out.

He's a good premium option and has performed fine, just like the rest of my premium options. I have no underperformers. I've decided I'm going to take drastic measures to get Oliver, and Gulden, a good premium option, is just one of a few guys that could unfortunately make way. Definitely not wanting his head.

EDIT: I'm looking more closely at Cogs and Doch now, two other good premium options that could unfortunately make way. Gulden is probably safe.
I'd say Cogs - options to switch Docherty to aren't as clear
Are you thinking Cogs is absolutely cooked, or just hunting for short term cash after a crappy game?

I mean, he's a forward premium averaging 100 and has scored 2 and 7 less points in total than Taranto and Rozee respectively. He could just as easily pump out another 140 next week...

Going by price/value calculations, swapping him for Oliver is expecting a 30ppg return for your cash for the rest of the season and blowing up a trade to do so. If you feel Oliver is going to average 135+ from here on in then fire away I guess?:unsure:

I already have Oliver so not considering the trade myself; merely if you were choosing between Docherty and Cogs to free up cash, forward line options to trade to are move obvious.

Think I'll skip Rowston/Phillips this week (I'm assuming Phillips makes way for Simpkin/LDU anyway, but if Phillips is retained with both of those coming back, he could come into contention)

I'll probably let my loops dictate some of my trades this week (I love short term points )

If Wilmot scores poorly, I could look at getting Day (or Liam Baker  ) in, moving Constable to the mids. (Can't see Constable back this week)

If Hollands scores poorly, I could look at getting Hopper back in ( ) via Fergus Greene. Realistically this is the trade I could make, as he's probably the only expendable rookie (still has a -13 BE though so will miss some cash)

I don't like sitting on $195K in the bank. If Hollands scores well, I could still make the Fergus Greene > Hopper move, but would be benching Chandler (who I haven't had on the field yet zzzz)

Can anyone help me understand why Liam Baker is scoring so well?
Is it a 2 game fluke score Brennan Cox style or has he had a role change ect?
Information most welcome :)

Worpel to someone. Means I can get Chandler on the ground

Maybe Phillips but don't like his JS.

Bowes - meh.

Another 99 from Jack Buckley puts him up there. Appears to have filled the void left by Himmelberg returning to the forward line.

Gonna have to stick fat with Docherty and Andrew Brayshaw. The Stewart to Doch trade after round 1 hurts my brain

Gutted and losing patience.

Probably Cameron to English and maybe Bont to Witts.
Ruck line will be Witts, English and Marshall and still feel that won't be enough cover this season.
One short.

Bring in Ryan this week on the bubble.

Will Day: what're the top 8 defensive chances we reckon? Hawks fans, anyone?

Haven't seen much of him play (didn't notice him against the Bombers really), but the role seems to be there and he seems both tough and composed...

I'm on the fence, but want to sure up the backline - too many rookies on-field..

Was initially going Cameron to English, although Grundy may tempt me with his upcoming draw.

Issue with Grundy is that if I trade him in & trade him again in a few weeks that I'm churning through trades having had to troubleshoot having a garbage starting team.

Decisions decisions.

I think the question would need to be, who are you looking at trading Grundy to possibly in a few weeks? If it’s anyone but Gawn and Cameron I don’t see how it’s really worth it. English and Witts might not drop in price much if at all. I’m in the same boat and I can fathom a scenario where trading in Grundy makes sense really. I also worry if I was planning on going to Gawn in a few weeks that he’ll be eased back in and potentially miss games if a rest is needed to keep him fresh for the run home.

English I worry about injury but each week I worry and let him slide puts me further behind in points and him further out of reach. Witts I was keen on at the start, should’ve, could’ve, would’ve but didn’t as I really wanted his first couple of match ups. Now his harder run starts.

I can’t see any other option out of English and Witts.
