Fahey is a $123.9k DEF/MID who has been playing HB in the VFL.

Warner is a $123.9k MID/FWD who I believe would play more FWD in the seniors(?).

Good to see some rookies finally popping up, particularly in the MID’s.
Unfortunately I have a feeling Warner will be sub.
Fahey will score really well if he gets a gig I think. You would think a Whitfield injury is around the corner, right?;)
The coach did say earlier in the week, that Fahey might find it hard to break into the side, considering he plays the position of Ash and Whitfield. Could be sub?

Potentially, you can add Cumming to that too. An injury is probably required for any kind of JS. I just find that usually the sub is a MID/FWD type due to their flexibility. GWS did use Adam Kennedy as sub in round 1 though.

I'm hoping we at least know straight away whether Hawthorn are trying to reduce his sentence to 1 week or get him off completely.
surely they go both. medium impact for one week and was under player when tackling who may have had shoulder hit ground after legs crossed over causing Close to drive the ground contact.

I think the fact that the other Cats players in the vicinity don't react at all to the tackle, and that Close got up straight away suggests two weeks is wrong here. Generally team mates don't react well to dangerous tackles, and they seemed fine with it...

I'm probably biased, I'll admit, and the tribunal is very inconsistent and non-sensical, so they'll probably end up increasing his suspension further.

Not SC chat I know, but what was Lynch supposed to do? Leave himself opened up to be clattered into by the bloke coming the other way? He simply turns side on to protect himself.
put his hands up for the mark and contest it for one….
no problems turning his body to the side…it’s the elbows/ forearms that connect with the head that’s the issue…and Lynch has form in this area with his technique ( not saying he was intending to hurt at all)…
Its a tough one but either the head is sacrasend or it’s not….AFL can’t have it both ways…

EMG: Caroll Honey Plowman LOB

Can't help but feel Plowman is a late in for someone. No idea who our 7th defender would be otherwise (Hewett/Cerra/JSOS)

Cowan had also been playing pretty low TOG (53%, 72%, 64%, 67%) so if Plowman isn't a late in, potentially could finally see 80% TOG.

Thinking the same, but Acres has played HB before.

Sounds like it would likely be Cerra. Don’t hate it. Also don’t hate a late in. Time will tell!
I could be wrong, but I think Hewitt went back last week for the second half while doc was playing on ball, so he might also be the one to go back. They might just take it in turns.
