Okay, going to float this idea for a separate comp to FPL and RDT. I have had a chance to think this over since my last and somewhat lazy idea.

Here are the rules
- Select one player from each of the 20 teams
- Cannot select the same player for 5 rounds
- FPL scoring
- One C/VC each round
- Have to choose a captain from a different team for 5 rounds
- DG rounds are in play, as are rounds with no games
- A defender or GK must be chosen in one of every 5 rounds for each team. Cannot continue to choose Fwds and Mids.
- No subs if players don't play.

Example - Salah could be chosen as your Rd 1 Liverpool pick as captain, but can't be chosen again until Rd 6, and no Liverpool player can be captain until that round as well. VC only counts with this if captain doesn't play.

Let me know if this sounds like a more feasible idea.
Guess it's a no with virtually no feedback. Was just trying something different...

Not your fault.(y)
Side comps on here have very low turn out due to people not having time to commit or enough interest in the sport.
Darts, Cycling, Horse Racing and Olympics only a handful of us have a go.
AFL side comps are popular on here obviously but those comps are either pick only once at the start or comps
based on your SC scores and you only have to put your name down.

Just able to fit this inside the salary cap. Loading up the forwards and mids, all 3 forwards have good early fixtures. Im willing to downgrade Son after 2 games (given his draw gets tougher) to free up $ to jump on the defender/s that will appreciate in value. I dont like that fact i have 6 players <4M but i like all the guns i have so its a necessary compromise.

Foden will be back late. I won't be starting with him. Too much to bench in the 1st game. Could take a while to settle and might be able to pick him up cheaper.

It's Harry Winks, not Harry Kane. Doesn't score or misc pts. Try upgrade to Mavididi.

Soton just lost to Oxford. I'm staying away staring with any Soton players, regardless of price.
Need to see 2 games and be sure they're cash cows before I commit.

Coady isn't a starter. I don't think you need another loop there.

Pretty happy with most, other than Livramento and MGW. The alternative is Gvardiol and ESR.
But Livra's starting status depends on Trippier leaving, and ESR's depends on his transfer away from ARS.

Given Gvardiol has CHE first up, and NFO have 3 nice fixtures, I'm favouring MGW.
Martinez can replace Livra if Trippier is still around.

Good point about Foden.

I have gone back to Haaland so im loading up my forwards and going for a cheaper midfield. I keep changing my side but i think im happy with this iteration. Only spot i dont like is D2 but i cant find a full team i really like. Alot of the mids dont excite me much but havertz and Maddison seem to be solid choices at their respective price points. Hopefully Tielemans gets a game, if not i can go down to Mavididi

DRAFT. What is the rule for trades ?
Same as SC Draft... waivers straight after the GW opens (first 24 hours?) in reverse ladder order, team trades and free agents after that.

Core of most iterations will be Haaland, Salah, Newcastle forward, Eze, cheap goalkeepers under $4m (ideally from promoted sides).

Unsure on Gibbs-White but the fixture is the main allure. Would likely flick in RD3 and use a boost to chase the best breakevens that I have missed in the mids and down back. Hall could be a sneaky option for those wishing to grab a piece of Newcastle in defence. Forwards will likely be a three prong attack as I would like to avoid a promoted forward and unsure on Rogers/Muniz.

Cheap down back is likely the go, to chase early clean sheets or low breakevens to then identify the best defenders. Maddison under strong consideration with Havertz and Gibbs-White but otherwise little interest in mids between the Gibbs-White and Harvey Barnes price range.
A change of that Salah and Eze core structure but still retaining exposure to Crystal Palace and Liverpool.

Could the likes of Grealish and Bobb be considered early on to enable the large spend on three forwards and TAA if Foden, De Bruyne, Rodri, etc are eased back in?

I don't think they'll get a chance to see 3 starts for us to make some cash on them.
If the big boys were injured and we knew they would, then they'd be great options.
But given they're coming back after delayed holidays, best to give them a miss and try your luck on the promoted big guns who are nailed.
