Happy to just hold onto a podium finish even though I wasn’t able to defend the title. Sorry @Herbie66 you deserved my spot that was stolen from you by the weather! Thanks for all of the player updates that you continually shared through the season.

A Quick look at my season shows that I averaged 56.4 PSI over the season. If I had the same amount of score involvements, I would have had to average 58.1 PSI to finish ahead of Big Focka. So like BBL, the old 55 PSI isn’t quite stacking up any more as everyone gets better at focussing on the fixture.

Once again this was a good warm up to test our theories in preparation for BBL. I am sure all of us who play IPL will bet set for a good BBL season!

hahaha all good

I know everyone has "what if" moments but I am going to go back to Round 1 Narine over DreRuss cost me 87 points , not trading Gaikwad to Kohli as planned , going Buttler instead of Stubbs etc etc , oh well

Round ranks of 570 , 273 , 205 along the way didn't help , need to be more consistent (as consistent as you can be in T20)

End of the day , wasn't quite good enough to get on the podium , had a crack as best I could

Bloody rain 🌧️ 😀

The weekly winner had the right idea 3 x KIP players on the bench + Rohit = 285 points 🤗

And even left Bumrah onfield , so most likely not in a position to see starting teams

But what a strategy.

Can't wait for the mega auction to see what teams will look like going into 2025 and whether Dhoni will make any sort of announcement regarding next year.

I've gotta stop doing this but the one I keep going back to was the one time I tried to be cute and play two playing players off the bench. I had JFM's 90 in hand and put Bumrah alongside him, as he was on a negative BE and I reasoned he'd either get a playable score, or nothing which would let me use him as a donut.

And then he was required to bat! Ended the night on 2, so I didn't end up taking the pair of them. Worse, I traded Jaiswal out instead who put up his best score of the season by a distance.

So instead of Jaiswal (129) and JFM (90) I ended up with QDK (20) and Jadeja (16).

183 point swing.

Missed the cash by 203.

I think I actually feel better knowing that decision alone wasn't decisive!

But I think I'll stay away from that strategy. Very situational and even when I thought I had the right situation for it, it still burned me!

I ultimately finished 35th, which was close to my PB in this format, and therefore a very good result given I stayed up for lockout maybe twice for the whole season. It probably didn’t feel that good, but on reflection I definitely would have taken that at the outset.

I was mainly hoping to help SCS defend the #1 league title, which had mixed results - the SCS league I was in was #3 overall, but was pipped by a smaller SCS league I was too slow to join! Well done to everyone in both leagues, two on the podium is an excellent performance.

Congratulations to everyone who managed a strong ranking or personal best, and @Diabolical and @Herbie66 in particular. It is a fantastic effort to be in the hunt right until the very end, and either of you may have got there if the SC gods hadn’t intervened so heavily.

Thanks to everyone for another great season, all the updates on player movements and team selections, and the advice on X vs Ys.

Looking forward to next time!

What are the eligibility requirements? Qld is a state of Australia lol
When I was emailing the guy at Sportsdeck my information I asked him what happened and he said that first place was from overseas. I guess anyone can choose a state but that doesn’t make you eligible if you aren’t physically in the country!
