The biggest surprise of the week, to me, is Drew Lock.
Drafted #42 in 2019 he has played just 34 games in 5 seasons. The only year he was a regular starter, 2020, he played 13 games for 16 TDs to 15 Int. His career tally prior to today's game was 25 TDs to 27 Int. His career passer rating is 76.2.
In his three previous starts this year he had 1 TDs to 4 Ints
Today: 17/23 - 309 yds - 4 TDs - 0 Int, His passer rating: 155.3
Totally unexpected.

A decent year for 5 QB's yet to miss

Jackson 50.5
Allen 47.1
Burrow 45.2
Daniels 44.3*
Mayfield 44.1
Yes, QBs on top again: 10 of the top 13 players are QBs, the other 3 are RBs.
You'd be very happy if you kept Daniels.
I traded him out after his 17 in wk 10. I thought he might've hit the rookie wall. His 28 the week after seemed confirmation.
But he's been the #2 QB over his last 5 games, including that 28, second only to Allen.
And his last 4 games: 65, 46, 56 and 72 = almost 60 ppg average!
I traded in Hurts who was going great but has dropped right off.

Another rookie you'd have been happy to keep is B Thomas Jnr.
After scoring 10 in wk.9 and 4 in wk.10 he's been the #4 WR in ppg over his last 5 games and #6 on the season.
This has been a good year for rookie pass-catchers.
Four of them have passed 1,000 yds: Thomas, Nabers, McConkey and Bowers.
And Bowers is the #1 TE.
According to Field Yates this is the first time in NFL history there has been four rookie pass-catchers with 1,000 yds.

Daniels in wk7 exited early and had the Steelers + Eagles in those lower games.

None of the rookie RBs have done much but that was expected.
None of them started as their team's RB1.
Irving has been the best - mainly because he has gradually overtaken R White as TB's main RB.
His 5 game average reflects this: 31.8 including an injury-affected 4.

Next year should be a different story.
Apparently there will be 8 or more RBs in the draft who are better than any of this year's rookies.
Apparently.
And there are quite a few teams needing a class RB.

I have had a very good week.
Scored 658: by far my best score of the season, #16 on the week.
My season ranking jumped to #187.
Another good week and I might even make the top 150! Given my ranking has been 300+ most of the season I'll be happy with that.

Thankfully I won't have too many players rested next week.
At a quick glance, these teams need to win to secure their division.
Baltimore and Pittsburgh
Detroit and Minnesota
Tampa Bay and Atlanta
Then there are three teams who need to win to secure a Wild Card spot.
Miami, Denver and Cincinnatti

Update: the LA Rams have clinched their division and are currently #3 seed in the NFC.
They drop to #4 if they lose next week and Tampa Bay win.
Lots of atguments for and against resting players.
One to watch.

I'm really happy winning 2 out of my 3 Finals.

I lost my Public League Final by 10 points, and I am blaming the Buffalo Bills Coach for resting my captain, Allen (45), in last quarter.
However, in all seriousness, luck plays a significant role with our fantasy teams. All teams experience good and bad luck, the team that wins often had more luck.

Congratulations to all the winning Fantasy Coaches.

According to one source, Drew Lock's game this week was the best ever by a Giant's QB and the 6th best since 1999.
This judgement is based on a very complicated measurement of the result of a play compared to the expectation of a result called EPA.
Too complicated to go into here but there are explanations on the net.
The other QBs with better games: P Manning x 2, T Brady, P Rivers, L Jackson.

1999 because I think that is when they started collecting the necessary stat.s.
