Was thinking of trading Macrae down to Simpkin, H.Garcia to Kreuger then Miller to a better mid.

Thinking it may be better to ride Miller. Then trade Macrae to Simpkin, Powell to Kreuger, then use that money to get Moore and another FWD in.

My biggest concern is my fwd line would have Fisher, simpkin, Powell.
north wont be playing a midfield with no hreid every week. if they go back to getting smashed their team as whole wont be getting many SC points so its unlikely so many players in their team will ton up again in the same week

would be careful with getting too many players from bad teams

Just looking at thinks I have Sexton stuck at D7. Bit of a waste. I've either got to trade him down, or shift him fwd. Problem with both options is I need a DEF to go down to. Cant see any options here.

Yes, so I'm thinking Powell to Simpkin could be worth while. Simpkin can be one with Sheezel that gets the points. I'd back him to outscore Powell. But then again Powell plays the next two. These byes are just crap.

On the contrary, North will be playing a midfield with no hreid in it every week….except for one. :p

Understand your point though.

Change of plan. Hopefully Clarry can lift a bit with Trac out so I'll hold and pass on Gulden.

Time to finally get Luke Ryan which was my plan for this round at the start of last round.

OUT: Stewart, Wilson, Clohesy
IN: Ryan, Kreuger, Rookie

Next week complete the team with;

OUT: Sexton, Moyle, Sullivan
IN: Merrett, Zorko, Hutchinson or any other named rookie

Gulden - has his role changed since his slow start to the season? His average is buoyed by two big scores the last two weeks.

Are many bringing him in now because he has had his bye and has a high ceiling? At 560k he doesn't look any more valuable (value for money) than a guy like Dunkley at 580k or even Neale at 630k.

Any thoughts from people smarter and more informed than myself would be greatly appreciated!
Swans have a clear top 4 CBA combo :-

Grundy
Heeney
Warner
Rowbottom

Rowbottom plays the defensive role in their set up.

McLean gives Grundy ruck relief, then a combo of Gulden/Adams/Papley give the 3 mids relief.

Gulden's CBAs last 2 games have been 25% & 38% - so he is still mainly on a wing, his running power is very impressive - always getting into positions to receive the ball. What has improved recently is his ball use to my eye - don't have the stats (would be keen to see them if anyone can access them) but earlier in the year he was making far more clanger kicks than normal, seems to of cleaned that up & not going for us much with his kicks/playing more within his limitations. Must confess I love watching him play & couldn't resist at that price/about to play that cats who have given up big scores to midfielders this year.

A couple of thoughts that would be good to get some opinions on:

1. Is anyone ditching Green / Walsh / Rowell? All three seem to be struggling for consistency and bleeding cash, especially Green. I hate sideways trading, but given Walsh and Rowell are on their bye this week, is it wise to trade to someone like Gulden, Dunkley, or LDU (or even Neale at his elevated price)?

2. Salem - I chickened out of trading him in the last two weeks, but he's still only $437k with a 3-round average of 107.7...is this sustainable, and does Salem benefit from Petracca being out? Or is it Viney, Clarry and Neal-Bullen who will pick up the slack?

I am seeing many people trading Sexton out - assume because with Will Powell due back after their bye, Sexton's role may change or may get dropped?

Sexton's last 5 scores :- 87,100, 86, 118 & 82. Thats a 5 round average of 94.6, his current BE is 51.

Personally want to see what actually happens when Powell returns to see what the impact to Sexton is as he could potentially hold down the F6 spot if he keeps averaging over 90 such is the poor overall situation with the fwd premiums this year. If the return of Powell does hurt his scoring/ or he is even dropped, then a flip to Rankine or Bolton after their bye is something I would look at closely.

Personally think the priority is to get the rookies off the field asap before going sideways.

Think Green can turn it around, just had a couple of bad games with his disposal.

Carlton's draw opens up, expect Walsh to finish the year strong.

Not sure on Rowell tbh, I would be inclined to hold.

Salem - his price is now a tad high for such an injury prone player. I think Oliver/Viney/ANB will get most of Trac's mid mins but @Ben's Beasts would know more on that than me

Yeah, he’s almost certainly the 8th in line in defence when Powell returns so I think it’s likely he gets dropped or possibly sub. Such a shame as he has been scoring so well.

For my particular circumstances I need his cash to get to full premium anyway.

Yeah, it seems to me that the Salem in midfield experiment is over. Expecting him to be predominantly half-back from here. Scoring well enough in that role recently but obviously well behind the top tier defenders and is very injury prone as you mentioned.
