Tempted to take a swing at a POD value option in Brayshaw. Averaged 114 post bye last year, and while he hasn't had a consistent high ceiling so far this season (only a few mid 120's scores) he does have a pretty decent floor with nothing below 83 and only 3 scores under 97. Big risk but I can get Sexton to him in 1 trade while completes my team with 7 trades left, and while I'll use at least 1 to get Rozee (likely 2), it does strengthen me for the next couple of bye rounds.

Williams to Ryan. Probably grab Dowling for Graham to help fund it. Rizee back this week hopefully. Trac and Naicos will have to sit in the bech for a while, depending on injury status

Gulden - has his role changed since his slow start to the season? His average is buoyed by two big scores the last two weeks.

Are many bringing him in now because he has had his bye and has a high ceiling? At 560k he doesn't look any more valuable (value for money) than a guy like Dunkley at 580k or even Neale at 630k.

Any thoughts from people smarter and more informed than myself would be greatly appreciated!
Think its a pretty firm example of how reactive the SC community is, chasing points on a winger about to play GWS and Freo again that just kept him to 90s.

I've lost patience with Macrae. Looks an absolute shadow of himself and add it to the list of poor trade ins on my behalf.

Will just hold and ride the waves with the abundance of underperforming premo mids I have in Walsh, Steele, Miller, Oliver and Green.

As mentioned by many not really scared off by Zorko's BE when this week could be his highest score for the rest of the season so not that keen on waiting a week.

Will be keeping a close eye on injury news from North Melbourne this week as to what I do with McKercher.

Likely that if he is to miss the next two weeks that I will not be able to field 18.

With all that said looking at Macrae, Garcia and McKercher for Ryan, Zorko and a rookie.
Same here with macrae. Might even trade to simpkin, can't be any worse

Speaking of Simpkin... $361.9k M/F
Was interested to see if anyone else was going here. I'm taking the punt ..has had a horrible year with that early concussion and I remember wanting to take him at much higher and mid only. It may end up a terrible idea but I am going to have a swing.

Potentially he is a better DT/AF play but my theory is he will PVP those who have fisher so happy to take that on

Anyone tempted to go Saad?

Also, Trak is looking at a lengthy layoff, if you're a Trak owner, who are you going for? I'm thinking upgrading to Neele?

Currently looking at;

Clohesy - Dowling
ZWilliams - Ryan
Miller - Serong

Unfortunately would mean I have to hold Stewart. Miller could easily be Rowell/Laird/Steele/Green..... Oh man the mids are horrible this year. Rowell has only gone above 20 disposals twice in the last 6 games. Really thought he had turned the corner when I traded him in after his first few weeks. His tackling is the only thing saving him at the moment. Couldn't believe when I traded Neale in last week that he was actually the 4th or 5th highest ave 'midfield position only' player. Hasn't been talked about much at all.

who's job security is better? Dowling or Kreuger... Pies will have most of their troops back in 3-4 weeks except Elliot but Kreuger is probably now ahead of Frampton in the pecking order right? Adelaide can't make finals so it would make sense for Nicks to blood Dowling and remove some of the guys who have had several chances like mchenry, chayce jones those kind of similar guys who play the flank

Mitchell was 6-8 weeks away 2 days ago.

Cox was 5-7 weeks away on last week's injury report , I guess he would be direct competition for Kreuger (if he can string that many games together)

Frampton most likely goes back when Mihocek returns so Dean might make way , although Fly still seems keen on Howe as a forward option.

Fly is keen on how Kreuger goes about it, but can he last uninjured for more than a couple of weeks is the question. Don't know much about Dowling.

thoughts also on Wardlaw guys? can he get closer to the 80% tog later in season... seems that mid 3 is set now with LDU/SIMPKIN/WARDLAW as the 3 main guys... will he come home strong and show us what all the preseason hype was about.. his game is supercoach friendly with the clearances/tackles/contested etc. thinking of just straight swapping from Rowell

Very tempting to remove a fraud or two. Most of mine are in the midfield, where there’s very few trustable guys outside of Serong Butters Bont Zerrett.
Unless you're missing one of the top mids I really dont see the point, would have to use 2 trades as all the underperforming mids are worth nothing to likely only gain 100-150 points from here thats not worth the trades when most people are low with nearly half the season still to come.

People do this every year then get to Round 20 and run out of trades.

And sometimes that is fine.

I had zero trades for the final 6 rounds last year and still managed to climb rank into the top 250. Was a good season to go hard early IMO - I'm sure other teams had greater success with that approach.

My biggest concern is my fwd line would have Fisher, simpkin, Powell.

Don't do it. I tried using Jaiden Popowski's research and thought Brayshaw had a good draw from about 4 or 5 weeks ago but it's been disappointing.
