The Dowling/Humphries emergency duo will likely be sending Oliver to the bench for the second round in a row. :ROFLMAO:
Dowling did not kick on, so Oliver stays onfield.

We play each other in 2 Leagues, so whoever wins will be a bonus.
I warned all that Merrett would be tagged, but I noticed you have him as your V/Capt. Since I too have him in my team, I hope he scores well, but not well enough for a Capt score. 😉
Yeah that wasn’t actually intentional - but too late now. I brought him in and was messing around with set ups then forgot to finalise. Need to start setting a time for the start of game. Oh well. Good luck mate.

Just in from Channel 7 live feed…
Caldwell did pass his fitness test for concussion so will be cleared to play next week…
subbed due to having to undergo the test and miss so long in the game…
meanwhile…Dawson in concussion protocols and will miss next week against the hawks…
Makes no sense given the sub has missed all of the game before they go on.

I might be misunderstanding this, but I interpreted it as having the sub for Caldwell’s testing time + whatever time remained after that was seen as more valuable than maybe having Caldwell for the time remaining after the test.

Is that different to yours?

I have previously wondered why subs aren’t sometimes activated more quickly in this scenario.

Good point. That's why I'm not paid the big bickies. 🙂

It is an interesting strategic decision, because it can’t be reversed. I suspect that eventually these sorts of decisions will be made by applying principles from option pricing.

Edit: it’s also a resource you can only activate once, so the risk of a further injury is relevant as well. It’s highly unlikely that these decisions are being made optimally at this point, but it will give some teams an edge as that improves.
