Yes, you are - surely you have someone else other than Massimo to trade.
If I'm getting Green with a single downgrade, Roberts or McKercher are the other two options, both of which just knocked out bigger scores.

Realistically the more likely option is holding for a week and getting another price rise out of some of the above before the Sydney/Collingwood bye.

95k ITB and 2 boosts used already.

I want to ditch Rankine and can afford to go straight to Flanders. I'm also spooked by Green's start and think he might spend a large part of the next 3 months over 700k. While Flanders may appreciate more in price than Green, he might still be gettable for 600k or thereabouts in a few weeks. Much easier to pick up than a guy in the 700s.

Oliver, Dawson, Sicily and Stewart also on the radar and sub 110 from Bont might give non-holders our only chance to snaffle him early. Some bankroll would be nice.

I missed Demspey and Sharp and still have Z Reid (who I don't mind waiting on for looping) and Gibcus. H Reid isn't really doing it for me. Wilson... Yeah I can wait if I have to but he cash generation is suffering. I've also got Sexton or Campbell I could go early on

Option 1: Rankine > Flanders. Quick and easy. Only 1 trade. Allows for more mooing but misses Darcy for cash gen. Avoids the Darcy risk though

Option 2: Rankine, H Reid > Flanders, Darcy. Cuts Harley earlier than I'd like but has me with 180k to pounce on any of the fallen premos

Option 3: Rankine, Gibcus > Flanders, Draper/Brown. Fixes Rankine and Gibcus. Doesn't help with much else

Option 4: Rankine, H Reid > Green, Darcy. Again, too early on Harley but it does afford me Rankine to Green and hopefully gives the cash gen a bit of a nudge. Does overstack my midfield, with Sanders having to be benched for a week until Roberts has his bye and the DPPs kick in.

Assuming I go option 2 or 4, am I better off dropping Campbell or Sexton instead of Harley? I can't afford Green if I dump Wilson

There was a world where I use a boost to fix Gibcus but the consensus seems to be that none of the options back there are fieldable. I'm leaning towards waiting til round 7 and taking whatever rookie has presented and doing the MPP thing to fix Gibcus. Saves me a boost.

Edit: Actually, stuff it. I might go Wilson to Dempsey too and treat him like an MP. WIll need to do the numbers to see if Wilson is worth being patient with

Is it too late to get Dempsey in? He impressed me against St Kilda as mainly a forward. Played a lot of wing yesterday and got lots of the ball.

Darcy is another option to bring in, however can he be trusted to play another 4-6 games in a row? Not sure….

why are people thinking of trading jordan out before his game against WCE this week
Close to maxed out cash gen and has a bye to come the week after. With a 70 he makes around $11k this week and while West Coast is an easy match up there is no guarantee he sees a significant spike from that game. Plus good to move at least guy out this week as last thing you want is a log jam of rookies all maxing at the same time and you can't trade them all at once.

Feels too late for mine - history says the bulk of a rookie's cash gen is in the first price rise and you'd need a lot to go right to make him a successful pick after missing that first $71k.

Boring trades.

Billings to Darcy.
Gibcus to Young. (Trading young out and in is a hobby)

If gawn didn't have a bye in a round i would seriously consider raging Marshall to gawn.

Slight consideration of coffield to brown.

This is something I've been mulling over and I think it's important to note where the spike score sits in the 3 round cycle. Dempsey's spike score of 96 in round 1 rolls out of his average this week giving a BE -19 but the 59 scored in round 2 cycles out after next week, so I guess your banking on good scoring over the next 2 rounds to make him a worthwhile pick. FWIW I think he has another $150k in him, looks to have the Smith wing role and could be one of the best forward rookies this year.

I'm looking at Harvey Thomas who's also had his 1st price rise and is now $175k. His spike score was last round giving a BE -52 which stays in the cycle for 2 more rounds whilst the 2 x 45's will drop out. The key for me here is does he revert to those 45's and was the 107 a complete 'out of the box' score? Trouble is that I know bugger all about him apart from the fact that he's highly rated at the Giants.

Do we think Darcy holds his spot over Lobb for long enough?

Three options...
Howes + Jordon -> Draper + Miller (skip Darcy)
Howes + Jordon -> Darcy + Whitfield
Campbell + Jordon -> Darcy + Miller

Campbell still has some cash to make, so I'd rather keep him over Howes; I'd rather trade in Darcy than Draper; and I prefer Miller over Whitfield as an upgrade. So that's a quandary huh?

Have already pulled the trigger on a 5 Premium Defense in my team, bringing Whitfield in, this round, for Coffield, but now wondering whether it is too early to do that with McKercher and Roberts to move to DPP after Rd 6, which will allow me to upgrade then.

Current Defense is Naicos, Houston, Ryan, Sheezel, Massimo, Howes - Reid, Coffield

So, was thinking of using Coffield for Harvey Thomas this week, and using Fisher/Fyfe to bring in Whitfield, but would I be better off waiting until after Rd 6 and utilising Roberts//McKercher/Massimo then to upgrade and swapping Coffield to a Draper etc. This would mean upgrading a MID/FWD (ie. Butters/Merrett/Rowell/Miller) instead?

Am I going too early for an upgrade in the backline?
Any thoughts on whether it it would be too early to go to a 5 Premium backline with Whitfield, when McKercher and Roberts will get DPP soon, or whether to upgrade to the likes of a Butters/Miller etc?

Depends on the remainder of your team (ie. How many Premo's you have and where), but I would go Option 3
