Trying to decide if I boost or not.
Have 218k. My 3 options I'm looking at are;
1.No trade
2.Fyfe to NMartin
3.Cadman to Comben

Martin obviously gets me the premium. Fyfe, unless he goes large this week, is close to maxing out on his value. Comben keeps the cash flow going and gives me a little extra cash for next week to spend. No trade saves a boost. I currently have 4 so that's not really an issue just yet. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't trade Fyfe at this stage, plays WC and Richmond in his next 3. With how slim the forward line is looking he should be one of your last upgrades.

There's going to be a plethora of options come rounds 8/9, the ideal scenario would be Clarry at $450k (doesn't have to be him) which could release $250k

I've budgeted trades for 3 luxury upgrades that I'd planned to do over the byes which would cost 5-6 trades, namely, Grundy, Drew and Crouch. That $250k would upgrade each of those players for 3 trades which would save me possibly 3 trades as well as generating (I would hope) significantly more points on ground.

The biggest bonus however is that I wouldn't have to use my current crop of rookies to fund those upgrades, meaning I can use them to fund the other 6 upgrades that I'll need to do which are 4 MP's and 2 rookies. After next weeks trades I'll have added 5 new rookies to replenish the stocks along with the other 4 that are still mooing combined with the MP's who could still add quite a few $ those being Bowes, Massimo, Williams and Comben.

I also have an issue with round 12 where 6 premos are missing, trading out Heeney and upgrading Grundy reduce that to 4 which I'm more comfortable with.

As of this week it looks ok, but like everything in this game things will change, still it's something that I'm pretty happy to play around with.
Some of the things you mention is why I'm stuck. I have 400k on the bench but no idea how to spend it. I'm reluctant to pay up for heeney, but then don't want this cash sitting here while I wait for these value options

Clarry is not a fallen premium at this stage, he's a spud. There's a few signs I'd like to see first before even entertaining an idea to bring Clarry in
At what stage then does he become relevant? The Dees have been nursing him whilst he has the hand issue and possibly building match fitness as well. He's going to have 2 weeks until his next game which is against the Tigers and with the way they've been going it's a perfect opportunity to get back into some form.

I agree he's been a spud thus far and there's probably more going on behind the scenes than what we know (we can surmise though) but I'm not going to disregard him especially if he shows some signs that he's back and performing in his preferred role. I'll give him 2 games of showing signs then I'll hop on board.

It's a tough one. He has a couple of easier games, but the sub risk comes along with that unfortunately. At his price it doesn't take much for him to start dropping in value.

Bit hard to say without seeing your team and knowing where to spend those funds, I guess sometimes you just have to take the plunge on the information that's available, I'll be bringing in Rankine next week as a cheapie because I'm using Clarks dwindling cash on the bench, all signs are pointing to him getting more mid minutes, hopefully that continues for the rest of the year or at least until he makes enough cash that he then becomes a simple sideways move if his role reverts to being predominantly forward.

I know that you shouldn't be bringing in players at this time of year with doubts over their longevity in a role change but the forwards this year give me an opportunity to do it.

Generally if you've had an interrupted pre season it's buyer beware. Clarry just had surgery on his hand so makes sense why his touch looks off.

If players have dropped 100k in value it's usually because they're out of form (minus injury)and you can only take a punt on one or two. With 40 trades this year and plenty of cows around go with premos and you'll be fine.

McKercher Sanders and Clark to Graham Garcia and Rowell

Crouch and Libba on bench, plus Gawn, knocking on top 5000, not a time to sit back. 4th boost down.
Same here and will be using my 5th next week. A simple matter then of picking off a few underpriced premos and a couple more simple 1 up 1 down upgrades until the MBR's where we get 3 trades/week again for 4 weeks (not that I'll be using all of them)

Zorko v rankine v yeo for upgrade this week? leaning zorko, position doesn't matter
All have an element of risk, but I think they're all good options, maybe use the MBR's as a guide, in my situation I can't afford any more round 12 players which knocked Zorko out of the equation until round 13

Really stuck on trades this week..

Currently ranked 5,950 with $174,100 cash in the bank.

McKercher to Graham a definite trade but struggling with the second (and possibly third).

Strongly considering Windsor to either Walsh one week early or possibly Young. Am I missing any other obvious options?

Want to keep Howes but it will leave me with best 18/21 this week unless I sell either Z. Reid or Hore, who aren’t worth anything at the moment and will both be back soon - but do they clog up the defence line, especially next week when Martin and Roberts will be M/D eligible (and with Daicos already sitting in the mids)?

Third trade, if I did do it, would likely be Z.Reid to Nyuon but not sure it’s worthwhile this week?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
