Kallan Dawson missed the game with an ankle complaint.

He may come straight back in for Bigoa?
Quite possibly. Nyuon played well though. Definitely one to monitor. There’s always a chance that Dawson comes back in for Corr too when he’s fit (less likely though)

Are the dpps changing this week?
Next round.

3 trades again this week.

Season slipping away and need to bank wins. Can't have petracca and libba sitting on the bench, I fear waiting will have me slip even further.

Atm it's:
Petracca, Libba and Sanders out for Walsh, Yeo (if not suspended) and Graham.
Leaves me 600k in the bank to upgrade in a the coming weeks with only 1 boost left

I feel you’d be better skipping Comben and punting one of the north $123k rookies if named. Then upgrade Dempsey to Flanders with a boost.
Your forwards don’t look strong enough to me
Looks like I missed the last point earlier regarding the forwards. Intentionally have gone weak in the last few seasons (one player over $450,000) but this time has paid off rank wise so far (top 3,000). No confidence in anyone bar Flanders and dual position changes may not change that. Would like to avoid paying up for perceived security in the fwd line for low ceiling players comparative to what is available on other lines, which is why overpaying for Comben over a rookie to provide that 75-85 odd I want to build around whilst upgrading elsewhere is appealing.

Considering:

Carroll,Campbell & McKercher > Graham, Nyuon and Miller

Thought Nyuon looked good today, don’t have the cash to get Touk if I take Combden.

Want to hold Sanders, think he gets full games next few weeks after the debacle Fri pm. Can see him scoring in the 80’s when getting full games … come on Bevo, do the right thing 😜

Early days thinking of.

Sanders, (thanks Bevo) McKercher and Cadman > Nyon, Graham and premo (up to $680k) thinking Steele/Dunkley/Walsh… but not comfortable with Walsh’s injury history..

would these be overly negative trades?

cant quite figure out a way to get steele in without trading out sanders/massimo/zwilliams who still have cash to make

would allow me to hold onto them for 1 more week then go 1 downgrade and double upgrade to 2 premos next round

hoping jhye clark gets dropped so i can use him to loop and he doesnt lose anymore cash this week

I’m not sure how serious the ankle injury is for Dawson but if he is back next round then it’s likely one of the key defenders will be dropped.

I ventured to BF and not a single poster suggested that Biggie should be moved on for Dawson but plenty suggested Corr should drop out. Grain of salt as it is BF after all.

Corr out for Dawson would be a great win for SCers!

Definitely some interesting choices coming up for coaches with the likes of Walsh appearing , Petracca and Green dropping , I also don't mind Dunkley and Gulden as mid options.

Can we all resist Dawson , LDU , Oliver & Petracca ?

Can't get them all and without cash it limits things.

The hard part can be staying on your own path and not getting "distracted" by what others are doing and then wondering why you can't do the same.

Some will have a trade plan in place , others will just spend all their money ASAP and then wonder why they are limited in a few rounds time.

I guess I was hoping the likes of D'Ambrosio , McKercher , Roberts , Sanders , Sharp , Williams would score well enough to get around that $ 350-375k mark.

Still need a lot of cash though to get them to ultra premiums.

One poor score slows the whole process though , although a good score (then backed up again) kick starts it again.

A fine balancing act as to when to hold or let go.

I think the Best 18 rounds have been good this year , the very good coaches will start forging ahead in the Round 7-11 block.
Is there really a lack of cash? Most of the popular cash cows are absolutely flying - I was actually just thinking how much easier it will be to finish the team with super premiums this season. Certainly not panicking at this point either way 👍

That would be a great idea if I was smart and actually traded in Darcy & Dempsey when they were on the bubble 😀

Currently running :-

Heeney , Jackson , Flanders , J Cameron , Powell & M King

Darcy & Dempsey keep going 80+ , see how Comben follows up today very easily fill F4-6 until the multi Bye rounds.

Darcy could touch $ 400k.

Interesting to see who the Top forwards end up being at the end of the season , good to see KPF up amongst it and not just picking 6 mids for our forward line.

Martin is averaging just short of Daicos , so once DPP kicks in he looks likely Top 10.

Traded Young out the same time I traded Martin out so haven't been tracking his scores since.

Again some different names in defence (so far) that no one was talking about pre season , how long they can maintain it though.
Young (R3) > failed picks > Young (R5). Not my finest moment.

Clark -> Graham
Sexton -> Comben
McKercher -> N.Martin/Walsh

Could bring in a forward but honestly having Flanders and Heeney I can’t even find a guaranteed top 6 forward. Not keen on Jackson at his price before seeing him with Darcy.

Any forwards anyone is targeting?
Zorko *coughs* sorry Baker and Macrae post Bevo. Surely the people must riot.

So currently have a few options that I am weighing up. Think I’ve locked in McKercher to Graham.

Then can go Billings to Comben or Nyuon/Drury.

Then decisions on whether to boost or not after that.

If I go with Comben then could go Cadman/Carroll to Zorko.

Or could go early on Sanders and get Walsh.

Leaning to holding my boost at this stage and grabbing Comben which gives me another week to look at the cheap North rookies.

Leaves me with $322k in bank and this would then mean next week that I could go 2 up and 1 down. Sharp, Meek and Cadman to Walsh, Marshall and Nyuon/McAuliffe/Drury.

I must be looking at it all wrong

Even if the likes of D'Ambrosio , H Reid , Roberts , Sanders , Sharp , Williams all get to $ 375k each that's still another $ 200k each to get them to a $ 575k premium (sure a few are falling in price so hopefully it coincides)

Can't see how/where I am generating $ 1.2 million to find those upgrades , time will tell.

I guess you have set yourself up very well.
