This is slightly off topic but perhaps you can indulge me.* I cannot see Romantic Warrior not finishing in the first three (barring injury). I guess this is directed at @Rowsus but I have posted here rather than pm'd because others might be interested. Or might just want to laugh at my stupidity.

Currently he is $3.80 and $1,70 - statistically / historically is their a "correct" relationship between the two prices. Are they currently in "balance". Further, given my belief in the outcome, what is the best way to back him? Fixed odds? If so, is their an optimal time to punt? Quinellas or some other exotic? Doubles with Imperatriz?

I intend to shy away from the world pool as HK money may well dominate and hence drive down price. Better odds may be available in a localised market. Is this being naive? As an Economist I have faith in efficient markets, but is this an informed market? So many questions Row, just reply to those you feel comfortable with.

One race to go, 1 point splitting the top 3. Any of those 3 can win the day, the only other possible winner is myself, I can tie with Professor for first with a win (but wouldn't deserve it).

Romantic Warrior is (and arguably) HK’s best middle distance (1600+) horse

Only purely for the points factor I tipped against them, but as a very loyal HK horse racing fan, he is one of the best horses there. If you guys didn’t realise but the S-tab prices were $2.80 - meaning the world pool would have held a ridiculous amount of $ from HK betters (fixed was $4 thereabouts)

They were willing to throw money at him first up, and today, 2nd up with better reports of being fitter; wins by a nose & lands the cash

Glad they sent one of their best and managed to win something pretty big. Only other horse I could think could do something similar is Golden Sixty (probably the best 1600m/mile horse in the world on a good /firm track)
