I was hoping to update everything tonight, however the spreadsheet for one of my other comps decided to play up and I've spent the last couple of hours fixing that - I'll hopefully get a proper update tomorrow night, along with the results from the TT underway tonight at Itzulia.

Pretty sure you all caught up with what happened with the Tour of Flanders, the Koppenberg really changed the race for a lot of riders! This is a brutal climb that only three riders managed to get over without having to get off their bike due to the steepness and slippery surface. Van Der Poel was one of the three, and showed his class to go clear from then on, taking out the race win. Bettiol was the only other selected rider to finish in the points in 9th after Matthews was relegated, so tso, chels and Dravid shared top spot for the event, 50 points clear of everyone else.

I believe all of our regular entrants have entered for Itzulia, however I'll hold off on announcing selections in case there are any late entrants or changes prior to the start of tonight's stage.

Itzulia Basque Country Selections:

I hadn't been tracking who chose which riders for this race over the last few days, so couldn't point it out, but both Yates brothers are not riding in this event after not being named in the final teams. Unfortunately it looks like you have a bit of a disadvantage in this event Kiewa, unless Remco and Rodriguez can make up for it by scoring a lot of points (that's still possible).

Pidcock was a DNS for the ITT

Looks like they announced it 5 mins before the first rider started. May have picked it up in time if I followed the teams on social media, but I don't. Can't be helped, I'll just have to go with 3 in this event.

I did do alright in terms of selecting favourites though, all 5 finished in the top 7 spots in the TT.

Wasn't feeling the best last night so had an early night rather than updating. Next few posts will update the recent results.

I'd already noted these results a few days ago, just confirming. I know that EF changed their colours for this event (I didn't mind the kit change despite being a bit plain), but I'll keep the standard colours for Bettiol here.

Itzulia Basque Country Stage 1 Results:

Roglic was probably the third selection for most of us of the favourites group, and with the opening stage win, will quite possibly hold the leaders jersey for most of this event. Looking like nobody will pick the winner if he continues that form, but there's a long way to go.

Low scoring so far. I must admit I didn't know quite a few riders in the top 10 in this stage, in what was probably the easiest stage of the event.

Paris-Roubaix on the weekend, always worth a watch for the Arenberg.
Thanks. I was going to mention this in the updates last night and clean forgot. I have been hoping for a bit more confirmation on starters before nominating favourites, but expecting most/all will pick the same person from that group in the end. I'll provide a list of favourites Friday evening/Saturday morning.

Yeah no WVA means MVDP will be a pretty big favourite.

That looks like an awful section to crash in, with the concrete lined drains. Hoping nobody suffered long term injuries from the crash, Vingegaard appeared to be one of the worst off from it.

I'll update Stages 3 and 4 results tonight if I can stay awake, been struggling all week. Points won't have changed very much by the look of it.
