Surely, Moreira just uses averages, similar to how AFLF does it. Prefer not to have to worry about byes in this format, keeping it more casual!
Averages have been confirmed on Twitter if a game is postponed - noting last season when some games were postponed and played on a Monday they were included as part of the round.

THIS weekend's match between the Geelong and the Western Bulldogs could be in doubt with an emerging COVID-19 situation at Whitten Oval.

Womens.afl previously reported skipper Ellie Blackburn had been ruled out due to the AFL's health and safety protocol, and that the Dogs also have extensive injury concerns.

The AFL has not yet made any decisions on any possible postponement or cancellation of the match, and is monitoring the situation as it evolves.

AFLW GAMES AND COVID SAFETY All you need to know

It could be the first time the AFL's rescheduling policy is used.

If a club is unable to field 16 primary-listed players (and five top-ups), a game will be postponed to either later in the round, later in the season or at a very last resort, cancelled completely.

The AFL has previously publicly committed to completing the 2022 NAB AFLW season and awarding a premier.

Round two also marks Geelong's first home game for 2022, with the club to hold their season launch directly prior to the match.

Oh wow.

Bullet dodged. Blackburn was almost certain to be in my team before lockout. Think I have just Prespakis & Fuller. No bulldogs.

But then again, averages could be a good thing.

Fortunately I have both Ferguson & Birch so don't have many cheap options available to trade in besides McMahon from freo. Hooker looks to be a mistake. Both McCarthy & Bohanna are major concerns up fwd. Svarc not a massive concern but could use her cash.

Hooker is the definite out. Svarc/McCarthy/Bohana/Fuller the trade bait.

Possible trades I've been playing around with:

Option A: Get a 3rd gun fwd:
OUT: Hooker, McCarthy & Bohanna
IN: K Antonio, Gilmore & fwd under 20k

Option B: Get a 3rd gun mid
OUT: Svarc, Hooker & McCarthy
IN: Riddell, P Randall & Gilmore

Option C: Get a gun ruck
OUT: Hooker, Fuller & McCarthy
IN: Zanker, McMahon & Gilmore

Option D: Balance on all lines
OUT: Hooker, Svarc & McCarthy
IN: T White, Antonio & P Randall

You're now on the list and straight onto the Round 1 leaderboard in place of @Pearcey47 !
Whoops... Thankyou!
Looking at the following set of trades to give me the following team for R2 (I'm aware that Snell is a WBD).
Essentially, swapping a DEF premium to a potential MID breakout premium.

Thankfully, I started Ferguson and Freo Runnalls so missing Freo McMahon is not too detrimental.
Birch & Lampard seems to be the Dees main outlets out of their backline; loved what I saw from Tarni on Friday night, absolute tackling beast; Snell was the best I could afford from what seems to be a bad bunch.
Thoughts...?
Like the trades. White seems like a great pick - high CBA attendance. Was considering her as well. Vesely/White should both have good seasons this year (I am trading out Vesely this week but purely for structure reasons).

Forward rookies seem a bit of a write-off but don't mind the Snell pick. Birch looks like a must-have!

Think it's worth getting balance on all lines - other options don't sing out to me. Quite bullish on White personally.

After looking at my team I can go Svarc and Bohanna to Ferguson and O'Sullivan in 2 trades, which seems highly preferable. Leaves me a bit stuck with the third trade though. Have ~10k in the bank after the two trades.

After two trades it looks like:

Defence: Schleicher, Webster, Birch, Ferguson, Reid (Lister)
Mids: Bowers, McDonald, Vesely, G Prespakis, Rowbottom (Kiely)
Rucks: Fuller (Cutting)
Forwards: Hanks, O'Sullivan, Bodey, Harris, Wuetschner (Low)
Utility: E West

Happy to give Harris and Wuetschner another game. I could build a 'war chest' and go Vesely to McMahon, but I also have the cash to go Vesely to White. I like White's tackle numbers a lot more... But this could be fixing an issue that doesn't need fixing.

FWIW I reckon Hooker may underperform across half back and the coaching staff may eventually throw her back in the guts, trade her out now to avoid pain and Svarc can go next week if required.

I also do not think P Randall is a viable trade in, most likely Rd 1 was a one off spike score.

I like McMahon, Gilmore is worth a punt and i also like Eddet from NM as a cheaper forward option.

Zanker, Riddell and TvWhite are all definite yeses for me while Kara Antonio is the opposite.

I would like to hear if others agree or disagree and if there are other options in the forward line being considered.

Injury update: Who's in your club's medical room

RICHMOND ruck recruit Poppy Kelly will miss at least the next few weeks after suffering a "medium-term" knee injury against St Kilda.

She won't be the only Tiger sidelined, with Sophie Molan (leg) and Emelia Yassir (concussion) also out of action with short-term injuries.

Akec Makur Chuot had revealed on her Instagram account she had tested positive to COVID-19, but is expected to be in the mix for selection if her health allows.

Former No.1 pick Ellie McKenzie remains as a "medium-term" proposition with her calf injury.

Coach Ryan Ferguson said the last few weeks had been promising, but there was still some way to go.

Ellie McKenzie at Richmond pre-season training.
"Making some progress in recent times, which is great. Still hard to get a read on exactly when she might be ready," he said.

"We are hopeful that she'll get some good footy this year, but we'll just wait and see."

Geelong has confirmed skipper Meg McDonald suffered cramp in the dying stages of the loss to North Melbourne but the defender, along with forward Chloe Scheer (head knock), has been cleared to play against the Western Bulldogs.

Collingwood skipper Brianna Davey (ACL) was ruled out for the season earlier this week, and in the short-term, Tarni Brown and Bella Smith (both concussion) will join her on the sidelines.

Bella Smith and Tarni Brown ran laps at Collingwood training after being concussed in round one, 2022.

Premiership defender Dayna Cox is the primary injury concern at Adelaide, set to miss another 3-4 weeks after undergoing an arthroscope on her knee.

Fremantle and West Coast will cross the Nullarbor with healthy squads ahead of their stint in Victoria.

The Dockers have lost defender/midfielder Philipa Seth to a 6-8 week syndesmosis injury and Roxy Roux requires more time to build match fitness, while the Eagles are injury-free.

Melbourne has a host of players now available after missing last week due to AFL health and safety protocols: Eliza McNamara, Sinead Goldrick, Lauren Magee and Gabby Colvin.

First-year pair Tahlia Gillard and Maeve Chaplin will sit this week out due to the protocols, while a timeline of 4-6 weeks has been put on recruit Liv Purcell's return from a torn ACL.

There will be at least one change made at Gold Coast, with Claudia Whitfort suffering a concussion. Lucy Single (ankle) is a test, while Jacqui Yorston (ACL) is 2-4 weeks away.

St Kilda is hoping to regain important trio Kate Shierlaw, Nicola Xenos and Molly McDonald, after they missed the round one loss to Richmond due to health and safety protocols.

North Melbourne will welcome back skipper Emma Kearney, but is yet to confirm if Kim Rennie will miss after a head knock in a marking attempt.

As previously reported, Carlton will lose Grace Egan (punctured lung) for 4-6 weeks,

Brisbane will be without Dakota Davidson (foot) for 4-5 weeks and Kate Lutkins (ACL) for the season.

The Western Bulldogs have a host players sidelined through a combination of AFL health and safety protocols and injury, with further clarity on the club's situation expected in the coming days.

Deanna Berry (ACL) and Ellyse Gamble (ankle) are expected back in around three weeks, while Katie Lynch (quad) and Sarah Hartwig (health and safety) are tests for this round.

I think White is a must have, probably more so than Ferguson. If I can I will restructure to get her in.

Early thoughts are giving Svarc and Lewis another week and I’ve got bigger issues.

Gunjaca > Jones
Morrison > McMahon
Brazill > Birch

Don’t love trading Morrison however I have 3 premium mids, and the forward rookies I have look a problem and it gets one of them off field.
Going to continue to persist with the donut strategy, this week playing McMahon over Kiely.

Luxury trade by the look of it. I wouldn’t trade Vesely to McMahon as you may lose points while building the bank.

I would trade Vesely to White if you think it is an upgrade. I probably have them level pegging.

Another option for your final trade is Low ==> another rookie forward if you can find better cover.

Brazill > Ferguson (Not knowing her netball commitments hurt on this one)
Ling > McMahon (Hopefully she can have that high floor with her tackling pressure and spike with scoreboard impact)
Lewis > O'Sullivan (Attended 8 CBA's and hopefully that continues)

On Tarni White, Swanson and Zanker watch for next week. May look at splitting Marinoff into two of those, should they repeat their round one efforts.

What are your thoughts on Howarth from the Suns? I'm not attached to the Wuetschner pick at all - kinda just threw her in there. She played pretty close to goal all game so not sure how much she'll break out this year. I can afford Wuetschner to Howarth with the 3rd trade.

I wanted to do Brazill, Dalton and Schmidt to Birch, Ferguson and O’Sullivan but was $600 short….

Going to hold Schmidt and trade Svarc instead.

Like the talk that OSullivan is playing mids as a fwd.

New trade plan:

OUT: Hooker, McCarthy & Low
IN: O'Sullivan, Jones & Gunjaca (cheapest player)
$200 left in the kitty.

Have decided to boost my fwd line instead and has helped me push Harris to F5.

Fwd line is now:
Hanks, Brennan, O'Sullivan, Jones & Harris
