One game is better then nothing Damion. Thanks for finding that info. Ahmad slightly firming into a starting role for me.
He is underpriced and will be the dominant spinner by the look of things.
I know and have read about the speculation regarding Morris, but does anyone know if guys like Curran, Vince and Hales etc who are playing in the RSA T20 league would come back for the start of the BBL and miss the final if their sides made it?, or play the final and miss the opening BBL match? Because even the Sixers game only has around 36 hours between it and the end of the RSA league final.
Solid DGW core of U Khawaja, C Lynn, T Banton, J Philippe and T Curran. Don’t like the Cutting selection and think Laughlin is a better option allowing you address the aforementioned issue regarding the bench. Great to see Faulkner as a POD and as for the rest of the on-field side unsure on the remaining 4 (D Sams, C Tremain, B Dwarshius and D Hughes). Usually I try to avoid loading up excessively with the DGW players and only select players who I’d be happy to keep for further rounds if they are unable to traded out in the following week. Therefore, choose your preferred duo from the following quartet (eg Sams and Hughes) and trade th others (eg Dwarshius and Tremain).
From the potential trade listed previously, you will have roughly 80,000 in addition to your current remaining salary.
This could allow the selection of Q Ahmed and A Finch for example whilst leaving 40,000 to turn a rookie into M Harris and Nielsen into Gilkes. Or Agar instead of Finch would provide you with 70,000+ allowing Carey to replace Neilson or Harris, Doran and Stanlake/Weatherald to replace Sutherland, Ellis and Neilson.
Solid side. Why Faulkner first up? Possibly downgrade Cutting to Laughlin as the latter is going to eat into Cutting's death overs.
Upgrade Dwarshious to either Abbot or I prefer O'Keefe who is cheaper. Dwarshious is hit and miss. He will score massive points for you when you bench him( one of those guys ). Good luck.

I would expect that any of the Sixers players in the MSL that make the final would be able to make it back in time for the Sixers first game of the BBL.
Vince’s team is top of the ladder on 19 points.
Curran’s team is third on the ladder on 14 points.
Hales’ team is fifth on the ladder on just 6 points.
Finished around 240th last year, regarding Faulkner I feel as though due to archer absence he will bowl overs at the death while also being able to hit a solid 20 runs as he is high enough in the order.
i looked at his scores last year and he was one of the most consistent scorers, unlike curran who scored under 10 like 3 times.
regarding dwarshious and tremain, they are sort of just filling space at the moment may trade up and down
however Laughlin i believe is a trap, I remember picking him up last year and although he he bowled 4 overs every game. He just didn’t look like getting wickets or he just wasn’t bowling to well.
yeah not sure on cutting yet, just depends on heat
One aspect I really like about Faulkner is the potential scoring upside he holds with the bat. As a result of the Hurricane top order being incredibly reliable last season, Faulkner rarely made the crease.
Faulkner's batting was so infrequent that in BBL08 even Kane Richardson averaged more SC points with the bat!
I have mentioned this in an earlier post but I think he has potential to be the Abbott/Curran of BBL08 where he will be a high scoring premium who will float under the radar from coaches given the emphasis placed on DGW players. Devil's advocate.

The inclusion of David Miller increase their batting talent and depth theoretically, especially once Wade is back so he may not even get those batting opportunities again.
The fear I have with Faulkner is that with the schedule a lot tighter this year , he may need to give those knees of his a bit more of a rest.
Haven't looked at their away game schedule flights in any depth though.
thats a good point, I think this means they might look to play Curran at 6, leave Edwards out, and play bird and an extra spinner. With 6 bowlers, it might make it difficult for Henriques to get a bowl as well.
