Complete washout obviously suits SC players better , a significantly rain interupted game could completely ruin people's rankings.
The issue with a washout could be the loops? If you trade out strikers/thunder players instead of looping them, you can push these loops out to heat/scorchers and hurricanes/renegades players

I'm looking at Dwarshius as usefully priced trade in this round.

He is averaging 60 points game, excluding his injury/sub game. That puts him about 12th on the bowlers list, but taking out players no longer here (Rashid, Mujeeb, Holder), injured (Sams, Faulkner) and low game numbers (Marnus, Moises, Abbott, Doggett) and he's almost the best bowler in the comp (behind Jhye) at 147K
Reckon Abbott hurts his scoring potential to be honest but won't talk you out of it.

He probably does but it looked like Dwarsh was being held for late overs yesterday. With Jake Ball in the side, Abbott is probably their preferred, 2 in the powerplay, 1 in the surge, 1 late bowler. And we've definitely seen DC bowling earlier now too.

lol I'll be asking you for updates. Remember nimbus clouds are the dark heavy clouds.
Just went outside , didn't get wet.

So it's not raining and no birds flying over head 😀

I am useless I am about 15-20 KMs from Adelaide Oval.

Think the rain normally comes over the sea through Glenelg then the rain belt up near the Airport.

@Drew lives much closer and might be attending the game

Exactly

Like the way you approach and think about the game.

Significantly reduced overs = trade out.

Only loss of a few overs looping might be better.

Those who own 3+ Striker/Thunder players have a even bigger decision to make.

People who already have 3 donuts could quite easily end up with more and only fielding 8 this round.

Seems a lot of people panic when XI's are announced so could be even more confusion tonight with rain concerns.

In this case I think Dwarshuis was held back because his early overs were so expensive, Abbott was used earlier to try to slow things down.

I’m still not sure what I want to do. But my two useless doughnuts and my three Striker/Thunder players sit on the bench so perfectly. If any of them go ballistic I guess I just trade one of my on field players to a doughnut.

Players I want: Abbott, DC

Players I want but am too scared to get: Roy, Lynn, Philippe, McDermott, Wade, Hales, Carey, Munro C3A1AB7B-D2A4-4136-8FB7-231B1A89FE64.jpg

Talks about finals. Seems given they are guaranteed a finals spot they have given starc the regular season off.

The other guy I am looking at (cant believe this after last night) is Meredith. He was averaging 57 half way through the comp. Now priced at <100K. Playing a renegades team that now how to collapse. Feels like an interesting loop option given I have plenty of stars in my team.
I read that article earlier but i thought you have to play a regular season game to be eligible for finals

I think thats for international players. I think local players can just turn up. But I'm not a fan of that rule. Would like to see all players have to play say 3-4 regular season games before being eligible for finals

Up to 95th in the rankings. Absolutely shattered I changed my plans and bought in Hales instead of Wade but when you trade someone out and they hit 100 it's hard to not immediately want them back in. No idea what to do this week but probably wait to see what the weather is looking like tonight and make some terrible last minute decisions.

Good luck everyone in the final regular round!

DC 2 scores above 50 and a 49 last 7 games. McDermott averages 138 against the Gades which is hard to ignore

Thanks for that info, officially off the DC train

McDermott and Wade probably equally attractive in that matchup. Much like the Roy/Munro debarkle it makes it hard to do anything but flip a coin on which is the most likely to go well. In fact the only thing which really separates the four for me is that Roy cost about 40k less than the other 3. I don’t even need to save money, but the tightass in me just loves a bargain!
