I've just started listening, apparently a player from each team is interviewed, Agar and Green first, Agar talked up Aaron Hardie.
I really struggle to pick Hardie without seeing them actually play a game at full strength, could be a ripper pick but could just as easily bat 6 and have Turner favoured as the 6th bowling option.

How many overs on a per game basis, do you expect the sixth bowling option for the Scorchers to receive?

Odd that Hardie didn't bowl a single over in either of the two practice matches. We'd all love to know the reason why?

It’s enough that has me concerned about him. Very tough to pick a guy not knowing his role.
How about a guy that has been assured of his role, that he is generous enough to let his teammates have a trundle in a friendly intraclub match thereby saving himself for the season proper, much to the delight of the coaching staff and instead continuing to get all those overs in during the net sessions? ;)

Exert from article from Canberra Times re Ollie Davies.

While he burst on to the scene with his stunning performance at Manuka Oval in 2020, it’s been a frustrating two years for Davies since that innings.

A number of injuries have limited his opportunities in the Big Bash and for NSW, while a hip operation in March hampered the batter’s pre-season and prevented him from surfing for five months.

So Davies’ first goal for the Thunder campaign is to play all 14 games, but he’s also thinking big in his quest to become a consistent performer.

“Playing against the West Indies was a good head check to know I can score runs against quality bowlers,” Davies said.

“Now it’s the ability to score consistent runs against good bowlers. Everyone can score runs here and there but the next step is to do it as consistently as possible.”
