I would be interested to see strike rates and economy rates for those overs versus other comparable overs.

I can see why some teams don’t want to take it.
The thing that's most interested me about it is that the best exponent in the competition is Jordan Silk, a batter we always felt was wasted at 5 because he just had no power game. That doesn't necessarily matter any more because you just have to beat the field - tying into the comments Stoinis made about it at the start of the season.

Ironically it feels like, counter-intuitively, you may actually not want to bring your power hitters in during the surge!

Probably be better if they got rid of it and went back to 6 overs at the start.

I think Watson and possibly even Lynn have made similar comments over the last couple of nights. Watson said you just need to play good cricket shots and the runs will come, there’s no need to aim for 36 off each over.
