I like the call about reverting to the runs + difference in balls faced method. What’s tricky for the bowlers is so much of their scoring is event based (wicket, maiden, etc) and so ER could still be too much of a benefit if it’s made too easy. But that could be solved for reducing the value of a wicket I guess.
Will always be hard to find a balance though.. Ellis gets 41 points with the last ball of the match after getting hammered.. someone bowls 2 economical overs and gets nothing. It’s messy!
I’d prefer ER got more points and wickets are an added bonus. Maybe 10 points for wickets and power play/ surge can be extra points for wickets to make up for the risk of going for more runs or first 4 wickets worth 20 points 5-7 worth 15 and 8-10 worth 10.
I think last year had six rain affected games but let me look it up
Edit: five no-results, may have been further reduced overs games
Over and above those no-results, a game with a 7 over second innings, a 14 v 14 game, a game where the second innings ended at 14.3, another that ended at 16
