I think the LG had thought about this before (and we may have tried this in thread past too). Given the short turnarounds between rounds (unlike AFL), I think it may be better to just keep it simple with the status quo of just the one BBL thread.

Test discussion unrelated to the BBL ideally goes in that other general cricket thread.
Suggestion

New thread gets opened once the bat flip is done.

Those that wish to post during the game can , if we get multiple "Quick 20's" X takes a wicket etc etc so be it as annoying as it can be

Others can keep posting re information , strategy , trades etc in this thread.

At the end of the game the "in game" thread gets closed.

Next game , new "in game" thread gets started

Etc etc

Shouldn't be that difficult surely

Just on the duplicate live posts.
The games only on Fox/Kayo already lose plenty of people in the chat on those games.
Most would become casual and refrain from posting and dwindle out. Honeyball is a great source on fitness updates on the regular.

Please read my post directly before yours.

The need of a dedicated new thread for each round is unnecessary due to the fast turnaround of games/rounds. Minimizing on the number of unnecessary threads (for the sake of it) will also be good for the overall health of the website database (less maintenance and $$$ required to keep the site FREE for all).

Fair enough , just a suggestion.

Was actually a different thread for each game , not necessarily each round.

Once the in game thread is closed it could probably even be completely deleted if it takes up too much space in the website database.

Hopefully it works , I am fortunate as I spend way too much time on here and other places looking for information.

A lot I would imagine log on before game time and may have multiples pages and posts to wade through which could be very overwhelming.

I am confused

If they are onfield and the game never starts they are DNP and locked.

How do you loop them ?

You can't move them
Now I am confused.... :censored: Think I have confused myself!

I am looking for a donut on the batting line as I don't really have one, and I have got myself in a twist. I could then play Allen as E, as an example.

It's redundant anyway, as the game looks to be going ahead.

In other games an abondoned pregame fixture usually opens the players up to a bye etc.
Sorry other games ? Yes I think in RDT EPL they treated the abandoned Liverpool game as being a Bye recently.

Has that been the case in the past in BBL though ?

My memory is fading.

I thought they just treated it as a No Result game and locked them out , could be wrong though

If the game is abandoned for some reason other than weather, maybe, but not if the game never-starts due to weather, it is simply a wash-out and all players get a DNP, is my understanding.

Doran 🍩 / Allen (E) , Hurricane

Round 4 - 6 works perfectly

Doesn't help with Renshaw though

Sorry added to the confusion when trying to clear up why there is confusion on a DNP
