Do we think after yesterday's showing that Short's gonna keep bowling for the Strikers? Could be a good option for his DGW if he keeps bowling and batting at 4.
Yep I do. He bowled brilliantly on that wicket last night.
Think if they can get an over or two out of him each game it just helps take the pressure off one of the main bowlers if they are going the journey or not bowling at their best, like Neser last night.

Taken Heads spot with the ball it looks like , keep taking wickets he will keep bowling.

Dizzy is a big wrap for him.

Spot on.

That reliable 6th bowling option is all that was lacking.

Dizzy has has also said they will play the 2 leggies if conditions warrant it.

And they will use Rashid higher up the order so he can show off his "Dhoni helicopter" shot.

Actually made some important runs for Afghanistan this year.

What did you think of Mujeeb last night , hopefully Rashid was able to give him some tips on the Big Bash

Think he bowled too short, as batsmen were just able to sit back and pounce as it sat up nicely.
Had Bryant taken that catch it could've been a better night for him, he was also a touch stiff in his first couple of overs that he bowled some dots and then a couple of good shots that found the rope hurt him.

All in all hopefully he can learn from last night and find his length.

Whacked the VC on Carey in blind hope that he'd pull out a corker, now that he has pulled one out I'm unsure what to do. Go with a double gamer in Agar or Willey as C or loop Carey for a score of 264?
What do you mean by being unsure what to do? Sounds like a post from someone who wants to bask in their own one game glory... next please !
Just want to point out for those saying 'wish I put the VC or C on Carey/Rashid', that 130 is only just an acceptable captains score in this game. Tye averaged around 90 last year, so I'm hoping for at least 150 from him over the two games. I had the VC on Mujeeb, I'll happily give Tye his chance to lead the team. Same goes for anyone with Lynn, chuck the C on a Scorcher and move on.
130 is only decent, especially when you have to select a donut to get it. I think being unsure is perfectly understandable.
This is a really interesting exchange. Personally I’m with thickshake on this one and would still back Tye in but Tails/Herbie seem to think locking in Carey’s score is a no brainer!

Thankfully, as BB said, my vc didn’t go big so I don’t have to worry because I’m really not keen to start a donut.

I basically agree with @Goodie's Guns comments but I would add that I think that might be Mujeeb's basement in both his quality of bowling and his SC scoring.
Adelaide is likely to handle him better than other teams given they have Rashid who could prepare them better than most for what Mujeeb offers.
And remember that Mujeeb is still only 17 and was playing his first BBL game. Although he's had the one season with Hampshire he's played most of his games on the sub-continent.
I think his next game at Metricon will be a better indicator.

Well Tye may have ave 90 last year but his KFC scores were 116, 130, 66, 54, 34, 51
- Read into that what you want ...

Yeah I posted before he was pretty stiff to come up against Rashid's Strikers first up.

First ball RK bowled to him was the only ball he had a deep point.

Hopefully they had another chat after the game.

Might have got excited by the crowd , his batting and the bounce.

Be good to see him bowling offies and leggies on a wicket more responsive.

Massive upside

How does this work with the fixturing? Teams are playing multiple games this weekend. How does that affect trading? Is it same as AFL Supercoach? Anybody?

This is due to the different scoring formats between KFC (below left) and SC (below right) which favour bowlers who can get 3+ wickets in a game. KFC is much simpler whereas SC is a more refined scoring system.

Major variances in SC favour:
Wicket +5
Maiden +3
*Extra lower tier for ER bonus +5
**Bonus for over 3 wickets +10
***Dot ball +1 for every DB (though you get -1 for every extras bowled)

To highlight this, Tye's highest scores last season (Bowling Points ONLY) were:
Sixers - 4/21 (8 dot balls/1 extra, no maiden) 104 KFC vs 132 SC [+28 for SC]
Stars - 5/23 (14 dot balls/2 extras, no maiden) 130 KFC vs 162 SC [+32 for SC]

In essence when a bowler gets 3+ wickets theirs SC score will be circa 30 points higher than their equivalent KFC score, otherwise the difference is only +/- 10 points.

331/5... Ingram a let down. No chance I'm not backing in Tye. Would rather make what I think is the right play and be wrong than make the wrong play and be extra wrong! Season is long enough after all.

How does Tye go at Docklands?
According to what I've heard it's spin friendly.
He's played the Renegades on FOUR occasions in the BBL, his figures are as follows in chronological order:
[BBL03] 3-0-20-1 (5dd,0ext) for 60 SC points (including 1 run out)
[BBL05] 4-0-25-1 (6dd,0ext) for 41 SC points
[BBL06] 4-0-33-1 (7dd,0ext) for 42 SC points (including 1 catch)
[BBL07] 4-0-37-3 (6dd,0ext) for 91 SC points

Last season's game between these teams at Marvel Stadium (now), with the Renegades batting first.
Renegades 9/130 def by Scorchers 7/133
Scorchers
3 - MJ, Tye
1 - Jhye, Agar, Willey
Renegades
2 - B Hogg
1 - Nabi, Bravo, Wildermuth

Like most, I have some really good sites for AFL supercoach, but are really struggling to find anything similar for BBL supercoach when it comes to tables of player scores, breakevens, salary predictions, averages, history etc.
I must admit I have no idea how people do all that stuff and I'm so grateful to them for making it available, but does anyone now if any such site(s) exist for BBL Supercoach? Thanks.
